I want... An educator
They don't teach programming in my school. What's up with that? How am I supposed to follow my life's dream (Game design) if I don't have knowledge of programming?
With that said, I am requesting a teacher. Someone that can show me the basics of programming, and the different methods/types of programming available. It can work from the very simple stuff to the complex stuff. Anyone think that they can take up this role?

Re: I want... An educator
Well, getting involved with a good MUD could probably teach you far more about the general aspects of Game Design than any programming course.
I'd recommend tracking down an established fairly small, n00b friendly, diverse fantasy multi user dungeon. Try playing around for a week, and, if you enjoy the experience, ask to codesign a room. You'll build from there. http://www.mudconnect.com/mudfaq/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MUD |
