Cells
Ya, i have no idea why they teach us the same things like 8 times throughout school, but here i am.. in highschool .. learning the same thing i did in 6th frappin grade.
Anywhoo. .. I made this plant cell in flash for a project in my bio class. Its not finished but i want to know what you guys think of it so far. http://www.thetempleoftime.net/cell.html Also, the reason why the organelle turns grey when you go over it is nothing, its jut so you know what your rolling over.

Re: Cells
That's pretty good. We just got done with cells and I'm saying to myself, "There should be 'this, this, this, and this left'" but your obviously not done so I'll wait. Just one comment, isn't the plant cell more squared out? I mean the animal cell is round but like the plant cells are usually more square.

Re: Cells
Yep, the plant cell is more square. I'm just a really lazy person. See, it started as an animal cell.... but i changed it to a plant cell. When i tried to square it out it looked oddly mis shapen. I plan to tell my teacher that i have a dyslexia of shapes
3/56 have noticed that a plant is square. Sad, ain't it?

Re: Cells
Cool diagram. It would be cooler if you could click the organelle and it tells you what purpose they server.
As for plant cells being square, just say it's a section of a plant cell ^.^

And as for the purpose, I'm thinking about making it when you roll over them their purpose is in a section under their name. http://www.thetempleoftime.net/cell1.html getting closer to being finished. Could anyone tell me where the vesicle goes, and what it looks like?

Re: Cells
Your rough endoplasmic reticulum is supposed to have dots on them or something, indicating that this ER has ribosomes on it. Also, don't forget the cell wall
I took an image I have from my cell biology book. I am not going to say what the numbers indicate because that will take time. If you need to know them, then let me know. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...re-05-19-2.jpg By the way, what vesicle are you talking about?

Re: Cells
The main problem I have with it is that it is obviously a plant cell (from the large vacuole and choloroplast), but it is not square. Plant cells are square. Ah! Major brain cramping! It might also be nice if it had labelings for "cell wall" and "stroma."
Here's a nice little picture of a plant cell. It may give you some ideas. Hey, I really think it looks good (except for the square issue). I never did anything like that in AP biology! We just looked at boring slides.

Re: Cells
I don't know why, but this topic brings a smile to my face. Must be all the "cells" going on here and there, drifting aimlessly in the vacant cyberspace.
Anyway, great flash you've made. Again, other people's suggestions will make yours uber complete. I think. Looks like a piece of steak.
