Anyone good with Spanish?
Yeah. Ohhh boy. Tasked with a big one here. I have to write an essay in my Spanish class.
Anyway, I have a few quick questions. Since summer drained out a good bit of my knowledge from the previous school year (Curse you, dreaded laziness! And you too, happiness!), I need a bit of help with responding to some stuff. All I need to know is how to say "I live at -----" and "My phyisical appearance is -----". Also, if you can provide help with any other descriptions of one-self in Spanish, that would be nice. Thanks. ![]()

I think you mean something like tengo los ojos de verde o.O but if you want to talk about being at a location... use estoy. Gimme the sentences that you are trying to translate into spanish Andross, and then maybe I can help you. Quote:

Re: Anyone good with Spanish?
And I thought reviewing old content would be easy...
Anyway, here are some of the things I am having trouble with. I am (insert age here) years old. My personality is (insert adjective here). Que te gusta hacer? Que ho te gusta hacer? And I'm guessing that we use se when talking about someone else, right?

Re: Anyone good with Spanish?
I'm from Guatemala!!!!
I speak spanish every day, YAHOO!! Ismene and Future did a good job, however there are some minor mistakes: "Vivo en el casa de mi padre" ---> "Vivo en la casa de mi padre" (casa is femenine) "Tengo los ojos de verde" ---> "tengo los ojos verdes" or "Tengo los ojos de color verde"... And now, the translations for Andross sentences: "I am (insert age here) years old." ----> " Tengo (insert age here) años de edad" or simply "tengo (insert age here) años" "My personality is (insert adjective here)." ---> "Mi personalidad es (insert adjective here)", I must add it sounds a little odd... nobody says this, normally you describe yourself, not your personality, so you can't use any adjective you want... "Que te gusta hacer?" --- correction ---> "¿Qué te gusta hacer?" Que ho te gusta hacer? --- correction ---> "¿Qué no te gusta hacer?" Just post your essay in english... or spanish, I can translate or correct anything... I'm always checking the temple of knowledge, so if you have more essays to write, I'll be glad to help... (math, phisics, spanish) |

Re: Anyone good with Spanish?
I am (age) years old >>> Tengo (age) años.
I am at (place) >>> Donde esta (place). That's what I can figue out easily. Most other stuff I don't remember. I can help you to say phone numbers or name places though. =D

Re: Anyone good with Spanish?
"Y yo tengo que ir al bano!"(I don't know how to put the wierd "n") means I have to go to the bathroom! >=3

Re: Anyone good with Spanish?
Actually, legend master:
"I am at (place)" is "Yo estoy en (place)" . Normally you have to add an article to complete this sentence, for example: "I am at school" is "Yo estoy en el colegio" "Donde esta (place)" --- correction ----> "¿Dónde está (posibly article, place)?" means: "Where is (place)?". Now, Kishiru: "Y" means "and" so: "Y yo tengo que ir al bano!" --- correction --> " ¡Y yo tengo que ir al baño!" would mean: "And I have to go to the bathroom!". my keyboard has the "ñ"... If you have a PC, try this Ascii codes: alt + 130 = é alt + 160 = á alt + 161 = í alt + 162 = ó alt + 163 = ú alt + 164 = ñ (the name is "eñe") alt + 165 = Ñ alt + 168 = ¿ (opening question mark) alt + 173 = ¡ (opening exclamation mark) and by the way Kishiru: Chrono Trigger Rules! |

It would be: "Pienso que el español es muy, muy raro, solamente porque soy un americano tonto"
