Pressure
i have a container that is having a volume of V m³, and the pressure is F pascals and then i make a little hole that have the area A m². how fast will the air blow out?

Re: Pressure
There is a very simple relationship between nozzle velocity and pressure/area. Unfortunately, I cannot remember it.
Let's see if we can derive it, though! Pressure we are given, which is defined as FORCE per AREA (Force/Area). The units are, then: N/(m^2) or (kg*m/s^2*m^2)=kg/m*s^2 The original Pressure (as identified using the Ideal Gas Law) is P=nRT/V (where n is number of moles of gas, R is the constant (8.5 or something...), T is the Temperature of the gas, and V is the total volume (a given). Since we know the Pressure and we know the Volume, then n is known (since we would have to be told the type of gas used). R is, again, a constant, of course. If we know the Pressure and Volume and the type of gas, then we know the Temperature (these can be obtained from charts). Of course, we could also simply manipulate the I.G.L. and say: T=PV/nR Now that I think more about it, the total Work the air in this container can do is the Total Volume (m^3) multiplied by the change in Pressure (F?pascals to 1 atmosphere--approximately 101,000 Pascals). PV=nRT=W...using the fact that the Work possible is equal to the Kinetic Energy, W=PV=nRT=(1/2)mv^2 (where v is the initial velocity). sqrt(2PV/m)=velocity,initial. I think that should work. Check it out. Sorry if I mislead you, here--it's been a while since I've thought on nozzel velocities...I'll check it out for you, when I am a bit more awake ;0)

Re: Pressure
i dont think that works, cause in the gas formula there is no E, so then you cant sudenly use 0,5mv²
