Most memorable character

Well we are doing an oral assessment in English, and it is who are the most memorable characters in fiction. I've got a few prepared so far, but i asked if I could do video games ect ect and no unfortunatly I didn't choose anyone from Zelda, but I chose Final Fantasy VII, because it has the most gripping storyline. Now the thing is, I chose sephiroth, but I can't think of a good explanation on why he was memorable, so I might choose Aeris or someone, can anyone think of some good reasons?

If anyone helps, I'd greatly appreciate it.

(Obvious Fanboy opinion)

Well, because Sephiroth was a genetically engineered human infused with alien DNA who tried to become a god by destroying a large portion of the planet using a magical stone that can summon a meteor...what isn't memorable about him? The fact that he is completely awesome also helps.

I would say his uniqueness was what made him memorable.

Heh heh, thankyou...I'm also going to say you feel sympathy for him when he realises he isn't a real person. I'm definatly using all of what you just said in it. lol.

Re: Most memorable character

I applaud that you chose such a worthy charecter to reaserch but it won't be very easy. Video game charecters are hard to pass of to an english teacher, I know. I did this report o why is Zelda so grea she gave me a 79. Ah, well, check around some sites and reaserch his history, play the game of course, and good luck. Get a feel on why he's such a great person.

Re: Most memorable character

I think your English teacher meant someone from a book that you might like, unless he/she said that's alright with them.

Re: Most memorable character

For me, it was Hexadecimal, the evil viral witch and Lady of Chaos and Malfunction, who after being burned aliveby accident, while trying to destroy the city, was rebuilt and abused by another virus, and in her insanity, was healed by the Hero, whom she felt madly in love with.
She then, by accident became a sprite (human) and tried to become involved with the Hero, although he rejected her, in spite of her recent reformed ways.

When a supervirus threatens the safety of the universe (computer system), she sacrifices her new found sanity, her new human form, and her face (Which she never had before - really!, underneath the masks' she wore was a hole in her head!) and returns to her original form, as the Insane, chaotic, sadistic viral witch she was before, to fight the new threat, before telling the Hero she has always loved him, and steps into a warp gate, that tears her into a milion pieces, and scatters her into the universe, to cure the world of the suprervirus.

Such a heroic feat has imprinted her plight on my mind forever...

Re: Most memorable character

Aeris was a midly interesting character that was kind of cut short(excuse the pun). Sephy or Cloud were strange and mysterious characters. Pick either.

But seriously guys, let this thread rest. You guys are about two months later. *points to user post date*

Re: Most memorable character

It's not so much that sephy was a good character, but he was a great one , if you get my meaning.
He was evil to the core to the end. His insanity was his briliance, though under neath the insanity lay a forgotten time when everything was different, when he was blissfully unaware of the secret he held within. This is why, to me, Sephiroth is the greatest FF villain of all time.
