Someone help an 8th grader like me with math!
Can any one help me with my math? I need help because I'm taking a retake test on a test that I failed (and other eighth graders like me) but I have no clue what to do or how to make it easier for me. I need help with probability, exoerimental probability, and theortical probability.
Can anyone help me do an easier way of solving problems like those? I have a lot of trouble solving those kinds. If anyone could, I would be happy and apreisiate and I will do anything to make it up to anyone if they help me!

Gaw! *hits head on desk* I got an D on that test because I have trouble with probability, expeimental probabilitiy and the theoretical probability! I need some one who knows math well and gets A's in that class...
And if I ask my dad he would make things worse...

I'm in ninth, and when I read what you were having problems with, all I saw was "blah, blah, blah". If you even know what those mean, you're a lot better off than I am...

*Bows repeatedly* Yes, yes, please help me! I'm having major trouble with probabilities and I need to bring up my math grade since I always get an A in that class!
Oh... well.... I still need help! I stink at this kind of math! Anything else I'm really good in an I can ace but not these! ![]()

Ok as for a problem... here's what is gonna be on my test:
1. A six-sided die is rolled 250 times. Six comes up 72 times. Give a theoretical probability of rolling a six and a experimental probability of rolling a six? 2. Katie tossed the cap of a bottle of Dr. Pepper 350 times. The cap landed on its side 15 times. It landed on its bottom 200 times. It landed on its top 125 times. What is the probability that the capo will land on its bottom on the next toss? My teacher said that these problems will be on the test only the numbers will be different and I have trouble with these kinds of things. ^^;

Well... I'm in Beginning Algerbra and I'm having trouble with this kind of stuff. -.- And Rx.cl0ne you got 1 right but number 2 you got wrong. It's 57% and I know that because my math teacher told me to write down the answer so I can study, but I still have no clue how to do those kinds of problems.

Oh... I see now.. Thank you Ascalion! ^^ I think I understand it better now. That's a good thing because now I have this fresh in mind so when I take the test tomorrow I can ace it! Thank you sooo much! What can I do to make it up to someone who's helped me out greatly?

Our teacher is always drumming into us the importance of tree diagrams - they wouldn't actually help in the examples you gave, but they are pretty useful in some circumstances. I finished with Statistics last year, though - by now I've probably forgotten all about it! Normal distribution, Poisson distribution, hypothesis testing and errors - ugh!
