An easy project that i did this year (8th grade) was "what brand of gum 's flavor last the longest"hey i got an 100%. IT only hates a day to finish you can do that if you are running short on time.

Shadow link I think you can make a procedure:

Time how long it takes from when you put it in your mouth until it looses flavor
Repeat step 1 with other types of gum
record data
Repeat procedure to varify data

And how about including some science blabble (such as the flavourings in the gum dissolve faster in the ones that loose its flavour quicker)?

at my school, i wasn't able to do consumer sciences in 6th or 7th grade...or in high school...you might want to check to see if you can use the bubble gum project at your school

God I hated my science project... "The Effect of Paint on Rust". Painted some iron cubes and shoved em in water... I got a 72 =P
