Slow with work

Okay, whenever I do homework, I'm so slow. Whenever I'm on the 5th out of 20 problems, most people are either done or almost finished (just an example). And this could dramaticly effect whether or not I pass Algebra, especialy on tests. Anyone got any insight?

Well, I suggest you review this:

Do you understand the problems?

Are you motivated?

Are you mentally sane?

If you answer "no" to one or more questions then you have your problem.

If you continue to practice similar problems over and over again, then they will become 2nd nature to you, and you will get them done more quickly.

Bah, I am the same. In labs I am slow, and in every test I am the last person to turn a paper in. All I say is... try to be motivated to do the work, and BBD's suggestion is good.

Well, i am often the last person to turn in tests as well. But it depends on what you are talking about. If you just plain dont understand the work, well then you can just get help. But if your just learning it, you should practice it over and over again-like BBD said. But if you are just not motavated, then it may be a little more difficult. Try to think of something good once you get it done. Or if you find yourself starting to day dream in class, make eye contact with the teacher..it helps you focus.
Although, mainly just keep focused and dont worry about the other people. And dont worry about finishing last.

u should ask your teach if she can help u after school if u dont understand.
im in algebra in 8th so im prtty smart.thats what i do when i need help.

I have the same problem. I;m smart, but I'm slow. Speed isn't the most important thing in life. But you really shouldn't listen to me. I'm to layed back to be any help on this suggestion. I think motivation is the most important thing. Try to stay as motivated a possible, and you will get the work done eventually.
