Lord of the Flies Book

Has anybody read this book? We're reading it in school, but what happenes at the end, was it any good?

It's a great book - I'd tell you, but then you might not read it. At the very end, the boys are 'saved' - from life on the island, at least. But it's brilliant, you should finish it.

Yes, it's a very good book!
I won't spoil anything for you, but it's a work of art.

Oh, and I read it because of the title. I thought it was a parody of Lord of the Rings

I haven't read the book, but we watched the film in CIVICS class to show what type of government they had established on the island. I can definetly say the film is worth watching if your not into reading.

It's an amazing book, though it has its flaws.

Take it slowly if you can...there's quite a bit of symbolism you may miss.

Below are a couple of important pieces of symbolism I can remember (highlight to read if you can't make out the words...my intention was hiding them, anyway O_o):

Pig Head thing on a stick (aka the Lord of the Flies)= Beelzebub
Simon = Obligatory Christ-like figure

Gahh...haven't touched the book since eight grade, so that's all I can remember at the moment...but I wont tell you the ending. Just look out for those.

Yes, the book is great. I read it for Swedish class and then wrote a report on it. ;>> *best in class*

Ahem: I won't spoil the end for you, because that's really not fair. Just read it to end. It's an excellent book, and not that difficult a read. I'm sure you can finish it fast
