On the whole, I think the sorting works well. Most seem satisfied.

I think just being able to get into a clan is good enough for most people who would like to join one. Often times I see that they don't really care which clan they get into. There's nothing wrong with it (for the most part), I'm questioning it, is all.

Are you unhappy with what happened to you?

I wouldn't say unhappy, per se.

Or are you just interested in understanding the sorting process?

I was just curious as to the reasoning behind the logic of the clan tests and its "rules." It's not worth discussing more then it already has been though. I'll just be satisfied with responses I was given; which weren't very direct, but, it isn't of much significance. The discussion at hand is very trivial anyways.

No. You still need 17 posts apparently (why is there a mandatory post count; I cannot say. . .). Also, this thread is meant to be an FAQ, not a clan test request (that rhymed) thread . So, after you get the 17 extra posts, simply PM one of the following mods for the test instead:

Aex, Dakota, DekuQueen Tiroth, Lioness, or southern belle

It's all there on the first page.

I just took the clan test recently, and I got 33% Din, 33% Farore, 16.6% Nayru, and 16.6% undetermined (described as 'cowardice'). So I got to choose.
I did NOT want to have to choose!

Eventually, I picked Farore; I'm just waiting for the banner now.

Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but I read through many pages in this thread for the answer...but what determines which clan you get put into? I know it's personality, but what characteristics fit with each clan?

Also...I just got my clan test results back and I am in......

I'll give an example of what I've figured it to be (using a question which was not on either test, so that noone can cheat):

Q: You are voted the ruler of the world; what do you do with the global budget?

Farore: I would put a large portion of the global budget into advancing spaceflight technologies, so that we may explore the final frontier.
Nayru: I would divide the budget fairly evenly, but would place particular focus into the fields of science and education, so that we may know our world better, and teach the new generation everything they need to know.
Din: I would divide the budget between global defence to combat alien threats, and law enforcement (particularly capital punishment) to 'remove' all of the miscreants and would-be terrorists.

Of course, these are just what I think; I could easily be wrong.

Also...I just got my clan test results back and I am in......

Actually, the classic Dinnie answer for that would be to pocket a lot of the money and use the rest to enforce your dictatorship and ensure that it lasts forever.

After you take the test and get an answer back?

Depends who you PM. If you PM someone who can do the moving themself, pretty much instantly (I think). Otherwise, they have to PM someone who can move you, which can take a few days at most?

For me, it was 1 week to get the first test, 1 day to get the second test, and 2 weeks to get the banner.

That means you, by default, are awesome.

Secondly, it just depends on whether or not the mods get around to it. There's really no set amount of time until you get a banner and you are able to see the clan forums; it's just whenever a mod decides to not be lazy and get you your shiny new Nayru banner.

No, being in Nayru lowers a person's awesomometer.
