medieval taverns

does anyone know anything about the construction of medieval taverns?

LOL... this is random! mind explaining WHY you need to know this? I'd assume they'd have a stone foundation, then go up to maybe brick or wood with maybe plaster on the outside. The roof would probably be a lattice of wood, with tar and straw thatch... although they may have had more advanced forms of roofing back then.
and of course, a creaky wooden sign with an adjective-noun or verb-noun combination- like "The Dancing Darknut" or "The Galloping Goron", "The Silly Sheikah", "The Sly Slime"
or "The Whistling Walrus"

Ok, from what I know, you have the main hall, which includes your tables, chairs, and counter. Behind the counter would be the kitchen. Then you may have a second floor which had individual rooms. You could buy a room for a fixed sum, or sleep in the main hall for a much smaller fee. Chances are, that there'd be a fireplace or two.

Typically would be made of wood, perhaps stone if it's a nicer one. Some sort of sign indicating that it is a tavern, and I'd think some windows.

That's about all I know.

Just watch a good movie set in the correct period and take notes. If thats not good enough then look up some documentries of medevil life. I know there are hundreds of them out there that BBC have made. Is there nothing about this subject on Wiki?
