Alright wiseguys [and girls]... Try Einstein's Riddle out.
- In a street there are five houses, painted five different colors.

- In each house lives a person of different nationality.

- These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.

Einstein's riddle is: Who owns the fish?

Necessary clues:

1. The British man lives in a red house.
2. The Swedish man keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Danish man drinks tea.
4. The Green house is next to, and on the left of the White house.
5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the center house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The Blends smoker lives next to the one who drinks water.

I actually had this on one of my physics tests. My professors all had a sense of humor. If I remember correctly, it was the German that had the fish. I hope my BS in Applied Physics has been used for the forces of fun.

It has to do with a process of elimination. You have to use the clues given to you to figure out which nationality lived in each colored house, who drank what, who smokes what, and who has what pet. If you are not familiar with it, it can take a while to answer. I believe there are places on the net where you can find a step-by-step or a better explanation of what I just gave.

Ultimately, to find out who has the pet, you must find out everry other pet, and use PoE. But to find out each pet, other things must be known about the people to make connections.

Mini-Link, to find out why the answer to my riddle is German, you have to use the Proccess of Elimination, as they have said. The best hints I can think of to explain it to you are
4. The Green house is next to, and on the left of the White house.
5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.

Thus, you have to find out who lives in the green house to find out who drinks the coffee, and once you find that out, you know the white house is on the left side of the green house.
