Ok classicists answer me this. In a list what are your opinions

name and greatest work:

Cicero - Pro Caelio.
Homer - no more need be said.
Aristophanes - Frogs

I've read many Greek tragedies, but don't remember who they were all by. Other then that the only classical lit I've read is Dante's Inferno. I'll get around to the next two in that trilogy but as for now, I don't have time.

Interesting... but one cannot call Dante classical

Why can one not call Dante classic? The poem really delves into what life was like in the 1300s, making refrence to the popes at the time, and even classic greek heros. People consider stories such as Romeo and Juliet to be classic, so why not something written well over 100 before it?

Well in that sense it is a 'classic' but Greek literature is 'Classical' the difference is that the Greeks were a classical society living the Classical age - Dante was after this so he cannot be considered for Classics.
