I'm doing graphs and stuff like that. It's very boring.

I am currently in Calculus 2. This is the last math I am taking, and no more of it forever!

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

Calculus 1 here (Math 80, according to my school), and the last math *I* ever intend to take. most colleges want four years of high school math, but i'd much rather take an extra language or history course instead...

colleges have horribly stupid standards.

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

I'm Currently taking PreCalc/Trigonometry (Pick a name). This course needs to hurry up and finish so I can take AP Calc, where there might be a challenge.

only 3 years of math, Andi? tsk tsk. I'm on my 4th now, and AP calc will be 5th. (I took one in middle school)

I'm currently taking Fourier analysis.
You ought to study math Andi, it is the foundation of all scientific courses. And it's quite fun as well.

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

... heh, the only scientific couses i'll EVER think of taking are applied bio/biochem... and there isn't all that much in medicine that you'll need to learn linear algebra for... ^_^

hehe, i'm definately a humanities baby myself... i really don't like mathematics that i can't apply to real life with little thought... in fact, the whole concept of mathematics itself baffles me to an extent. as great as made-up systems are, and as useful as knowing anything i want about a right triangle is, i have a lot more fun learning about people themselves... ^^

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

Im taking a combo class of Algebra II and Trignometry. I have the final for it tomorrow at 8:00, so I should be studying. @_@

Math can't be easily applied in real life, but I love taking it because I find it so facinating. Besides its fun to be able to whip up some complicated sounding equation and confuse your 5 year old brother who is amazed you can even add 5 and 17 in you head. ^-^

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

I'm CURRENTLY in fundamentals of Geo... it's really annoying cause its a freshman class that i HAD to take, last semester I was in College ALgebra and this semester I was going to be in College Trig, but nooooo my lack of focus and procrastination in College Algebra kept me outta Trig, now I have to take alg again next year -_- and this time I have to pay for it myself (68 USD lotsa money 4 a poor kid like me :p ) and yea that's all now im gonna go lol

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

I'm currently taking Algebra. Nothing big, at all. I'm passing the class with a 100% and it is the easiest math class I've taken. Next year it will be Geography or Geography with Algebra 2. Though the idea of taking two math classes in one year does sound, horribly disappointing... I'm aiming to take College algebra my senior year in High School...I hope I can get that done.

Re: What Math Are You Currently Taking?

I'm in my first year of college and I'm taking Geometry I, algebra I and analysis I. Geometry mostly covered lineair algebra the previous semester but next semester we'll mostly get differential geometry, algebra is really really difficult (I could manage set theory but rings and modules were way over my head), analysis was pretty easy so far (mostly calculus) but they say that the second semester is gone be really hard.
