[History](World War II)What's the relationship between The Great Depression and the Holocaust?
I knew the answer, but suddenly I can't remember it... ![]() The economic way... US was the economic power after WW I due to the European Empires being destroyed. When the US stock market crashes, it effects the world. At that time, inflation is EXTREMELY high in Germany, Hitler promises with his lies that they will become the 3rd Reich and he will find the solutions to the German people's problems. Soon, he starts building arms and ammunition, violating the Treaty of Versailles. When there is a Civil War in Spain (Fascism vs Communism), Italy (Mussolini) sends the army, while Hitler sends the Air Force, violating the Treaty of Versailles again. After that, is it part of Hitler's big lies saying the Aryans are the super race, and the Jews must be eliminated from the world? (Please do not take this as an offence to anyone who may be a Jewish on these boards as I am just learning the history so history won't repeat itself) Is this how The Great Depression and the Holocaust is related? Our class three important thing is economics, politics, and attitude. Economics up there is pretty straight forward, The Great Depression and inflation rising. Attitude I see with France, Britain, and US in an isolation. Another attitude being Hitler is telling all these lies to get the German people's support. But the problem is, I don't see the politics. Help will be appreciated. 12:54 a.m currently. We've got the test at 10:00 a.m. so it's not faraway. Just about 9 hours left... Quick reply will be helpful. |
