Wind Waker Title Screen Music

I'm doing a group project about the music of Ireland, and I was thinking of making my submitted song the Title Screen music of the Wind Waker. Does anyone know if this really could be Irish shounding? I really wouldn't know[to find out other than here]. :| Thanks!

Well, it definatley sounds like a "folk" tune. Irish though? Hmmm... that would be a stretch. Presonally I would go with something traditional for the project, but I'd still play the title music for fun, I play it on my violin all the time.

I'd PM Mrs. Ganondorf and ask her (Her name now is something like Seberische De). She's into Ireland.

It is a nice tune, but I don't think it sounds Irish. Especially if your teacher knows anything about Ireland, I wouldn't push your luck. Just go with something distinctly irish. My suggestion: anything by Flogging Molly, or the song Foggy Dew; there are several versions out there, any of them would be fine.

Well, when I first played it I thought it was Newfoundland-sounding. Oh well, I am from Newfoundland and all.
Quick! Back on topic!
Anyways, I pretty much agree with DragonKnight19 up there. Don't puch you're luck, b'y.

Well, it sounds very celtic... let me go ask my knows-all-about-music sister...*goes and asks sister*... She said that it sounds pretty Irish.

(She would know, it's her favorite kind of music)

A lot of Irish music is in the Mixolydian mode (the same as major, but with scale degree 7 lowered). That might make you look smart, eh?

Thanks, all! I'll take it into consideration of putting it on, but may make it as subliminal as possible.
