Idiom Help
I got some homework about idioms, and I need a real-life example for the saying "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride." Please help meh!

As in Philosophy?
I do The Theory of Knowledge, which is the equivelant for the I.B, so this may be different to what you mean, but how about; All vegetables are green. All Carrots are Vegetables, Therefore, All Carrots are Green. There, you've affirmed the Anti-ceedant and the consequent, so the idom of "If P, then Q" is justified. Does this help at all? What you do is examine the word that could be interpreted in more than one way -- in this case, the word "ride."
See what a meaning of the word "ride" and wishes/horse riding have in common.

Heh, just to clear stuff up. Idioms are things like "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." and "You can't throw a dead cat without hitting a McDonalds" or "Break a leg." Things like that.
