odd English expression

Please help! What means "cock and bull"?
It's an expression I found in a news article.

Not quite, it refers to something, be it a story, article, whatever, being a load of rubbish.

Untrue, unfounded, inaccurate or just plain cock and bull.

Why must you question English language?!?! Any way "cock and bull" means "a load of rubbish" for example:- "hi Ted i jumped of the Empire State building", "What a load a load of cock and bullFred you would be dead!"

"Cock and bull" is another way of calling somting Bullsh-t or Horsesh-t

Indeedy - a 'Cock and Bull' story is a way of calling something completely made-up.
God knows I hear it enough when I tell my teacher that my Sister conviniently 'coloured' in my Homework ^^;
