Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

You can watch the old cartoons, just go to Boomerang they show Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, and other older shows.

To me the last good show on CN was Billy & Mandy, now that show was funny! But last bunch of episodes kind of sucked.
Ed, Edd, and Eddy was my absolute favorite show, it was pretty much reminiscent of older Bugs Bunny, and Tom & Jerry cartoons since the show was pretty violent. They need to air more shows like E.E.E.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

I'd bring back Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, continue that Star Wars show and Chowder, and cancel all of the live action stuff, which now takes up 70% of its time slots. I'd also rerun old shows, like Freakazoid and Edd, Ed, and Eddy, at night.

I'd bring back the live action Fridays segment, though. That <four hearts> was hilarious.

I actually made a Freakazoid shirt in my graphics class last year. =] It looks amazing. ^_^ However, the paint is starting to come off the shirt. =[ I'll take a picture of it later and show everyone. ^_^ It's my favorite shirt out of all the shirts I own. =]

For Cartoon network, bring back Toonami. With it, Naruto Shippuden. I don't know what CN is thinking, why haven't they bought the episodes yet?
With Shippuden, Star Wars Clone Wars, Batman Brave and Bold, and maybe pokemon they already have a pretty decent lineup.
I agree, bring Naruto Shippuden uncensored play it on adult swim and I might actually watch it.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

I haven't watched CN in years. What shows do they mainly run? I stopped watching once they aired **** like The Mighty Bee and Total Drama Island (I think that's what they were called). The only good show that is moderately new is Billy and Mandy. That and Ed, Edd, and Eddy still make me lol when I watch them.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

Toss out all of the live action shows and any new show with bad animation, which is basically every show they air now other than Chowder and Flapjack. Start re-airing some cartoons from the good old days, like Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Foster's, Kids Next Door, Freakazoid (I think that aired on CN), and others.

Then they should bring back an Anime block. Doesn't have to necessarily be Toonami, but they should bring a block back for Anime. I miss Rurouni Kenshin...

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

well, Cartoon Network has a better position than Nick in my opinion...
i don't know what to do, but i will study to become an animator, and i am probably going to work with CN, why? just look what Nickelodeon did to Jhonen Vasquez.
Nick cancelled Zim because it was to violent, while Billy and Mandy is more of less as violent as Zim, the only difference is that Zim was better drawn and animated and as such the violence was more graphic and way creepier.
if i was working in CN i would make action cartoons and GOOD comedy cartoons, these days the characters only fart and burp, which kids theses days find funny...what a shame.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

I wish they would take off all of that live action crap. It's CARTOON Network! We want to watch cartoons on it! Why did they ever cancel Samurai Jack? That was the best show they had on there! I hate Flapjack and Chowder, where did Ed, Edd, and Eddy go? Dexter's Lab? Billy and Mandy? Where did the adult swim go on Saturday nights??? I used to stay up all night watching that, InuYasha and stuff! Why the heck would they take all of it off?!?! SHEESH!

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network still has FlapJack, a cool albeit disturbing show, and Chowder, which is great.

I have no idea how Flapjack is still on the air. It has people whose feet melt to expose bone, a zombie girl with holes in her face, etc. It's a hilarious show, though.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

My top twelve to do list if I owned Cartoon Network
1: Bring Back Samurai Jack, but have a single solid storyline instead of several alternate ones. (There were quite a few that I noticed)
2: Bring back Toonami or at least IGPX, the only "adult" anime show they've created that rocked.
3:Screw Flapjack, it's not as bad as Ren and Stempy, angry beavers etc. But it's still kind of how we say, cracky. Even if it is funny once in a while.
4:Write a new anime show that actually had a good plot AND good characters.
5:Bring Back Static Shock, X-men(The original one) and the like.
6:Air Avatar and Code Lyoko at times when people who do(There are believe it or not fans of these shows) like them are AWAKE. Cmon people it's not true anime to be sure, but both actually had good and well written characters.
7:Screw the Live action shows, except Goosbumps, and maybe that weird ghostwriter show. At least those two had actual plots.
8:Get back the old Edd Ed and Eddy, where there was actually some sense to what they were doing. (seasons 1-3 were the best)
9:Get a hot seceratary that doesn't act like she hates her job (Just kidding)
10: Bring back DBZ and screw the rest of the stuff after it, (Dragonball GT etc)
11:Bring back Naruto and air it at a time people would actually watch it.
12:Find some way to make an awesome animated Zelda movie, because if Hollywood learned anything from Dragonball Evolution, it would just plain suck.

Excuse me? When did I say they were "bad"? I simply meant that whoever wrote them was high or something at the time. I mean seriously, have you seen the "west" episode? O_0;;; They were all great shows, but they were more or less disturbing in more ways then one on ocasion you know. Angry bevers was hilarious though, I can relate to the hyper guy, my bro was like the yellow one xD Ren and Stempy was cancled cause it was too extreem for kids to watch. I mean, they randomly strangled eachother like mad! rofl

Okay, I just remembered a reeeeely screwy show on nick. CatDog! lol Still funny show, but the dog was just an insult...everyone knows dogs aren't that dumb

I'll admit Billy and Mandy, Dexters Lab even the Powerpuff girls had it's charm, but still at times they were....yeah...-_-'' I mean, have you seen Hos with his shirt off in the holloween movie?(The one with the evil candy bunnys) That scared even my dog, he didn't even rip it all the way off! xD Pluss the fourth wall breakage in Billy and Mandy was off the charts rofl.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

Dude, Avatar, Ren and Stimpy, and Angry Beavers are all from Nickelodean.

Also, Avatar is extremely popular with 13-15 male crowd.

As for FlapJack, it's the trippiest show since Ren and Stimpy, or Two Stupid Dogs. About the West episode, it's one of the most innovatve TV episode in the history of the electroscope.
The animation of FlapJack is beautiful and extremely unique.

Watch it. Now.

And, erm, watch Chowder while you're at it.

Go back to the Dexter's Lab days, and whatever other shows were on at that time that I can't really remember.
