Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

I'm personally fine with just about any animation, I just dislike some of the shows CN has. (No, I'm not a conservatist.)

Dispite the art and such of Flapjack, which keeps the phyical properties of characters so they look gruesome... I love the show.

They mention dying (although jokingly), and plenty of other "adult themes" (.__.) WAAAY more than the older shows (Ed, Edd, and Eddy included) EVER did. You show me one single episode where anyone in Ed, Edd, and Eddy even MENTIONS death, and I will eat your hat. Ren and Stimpy was an outlier. Since it was one of the three first cartoons EVER on a cable TV channel, there was no way to tell what any reaction would be. The show got much tamer through the years, too, especially after John Kricfalusi was essentially kicked off the writing team by Nickelodeon.

God, this thread pisses me off. Most of you are so closed-minded that you can't get over your memories.
I lol'd. Farting? I meant things like in Ed Edd n Eddy where Eddy gets a "Girly mag" he goes into the bathroom and as it fades to black you hear the sound of him unzipping his pants. XD

I don't remember that part. :O

In fact, after watch some episodes of Ed Edd N Eddy on CN., there was a lot of stuff I didn't noticed until now. For example, Ed's vocab is usually nothing like Double D's, but changes in some senes to that like Double D. (No, nothing happens to Ed phyically to make him be "smart", these are some of his random statments I found interesting to hear. ...and isn't any words he would use to decribe his tv shows.)

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

It's funny how Seth Macfarlane wrote Johnny Bravo and Dexter's Lab. Nowadays besides Family Guy (in my opinion) his writing it terrible. And yes I know Family Guy doesn't have good writing but I find it hilarious.

In my opinion, the writing really wasn't that good, but Dexter's Lab's writing was better.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

Anybody think CNReal is doing anything good for CN? I personally hate it, and wish it would die a horrible painful death. But, I wonder if CN is actually getting any more viewers because of it.

Ok, you are going to have to find that episode for us. Because I don't remember that.

I'm not sure what episode exactly, but I believe he's referring to one of the ones where they talk about Eddy's brother coming home. Cause I do remember seeing that XD

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

I just remembered: Freakazoid. I loved that show to death. I think Freakazoid actually belongs to DC Universe now. A high-budget movie of that hero needs to come out. It would be perfect as a dark comedy.

Re: If You Could "Fix" Cartoon Network

Well, Freakazoid was originally a Kids WB! show, which cartoon network just started airing after it was cancelled.

Oh, my god, Freakazoid is awesome. It was before my time, but I recently saw the 'Candlejack' episode on youtube. Why can't all Cartoon Network shows be that hilari
