Shows you thought you would never watch

I thought it was going to suck when I first heard about it. I decided to give the first episode a chance. I got hooked right there.

Lost, if only to be watched if someone else has it on while I pass the TV. I don't tend to watch much TV anyway. :/

sponge bob for me, i remember when my dad suggested going too see the movie and I'm like "oh great some stupid kiddy show". and then we go see it and i couldn't believe how funny it was and I've loved the show ever since

I always thought Survivor would be a very boring show, until I actually sat down one day and watched it. Made me realize why the rest of my family sat down every Thursday night at 7:00 to watch that show. The same probably goes for The Amazing Race.

I also have to say that I watched Foster's Home For Imaginary Children a few times. It was actually pretty good. I always thought that any show on Cartoon Network was bad. Of course, for the most part, that seems true, but Foster's was an exception.

NCIS, Monk, and Psych. I love detective shows...

One Piece.

I first saw a few episodes on Cartoon Network dubbed by the awful 4Kids. It's not that I hated what I saw, but I just didn't see anything special. So I honestly didn't think I was ever going to seriously watch it. Might catch it a few times on there, but I wouldn't think of it is any better than Naruto. (Meaning I'll watch it only when I'm bored to death, which close to never happened back then.)

Later in 2007 I started watching it from the beginning subbed, and then I realized that it was a lot better than 4Kids made it out to be. Now I love it. It's incredibly epic.

...But watching Naruto from the beginning did nothing for me. I still thought it was boring, and I still do this day. But that's for another topic. XD

What's funny is that I watched Monk and Psych both for the first time ever yesterday. My parents always said I would like Monk, but I never believed them. Of course, I walked in halfway through the show and didn't understand what was happening most the time. Then I was really tired for some weird reason while I watched Psych, and couldn't keep up with it at all.

I'm going to give these shows another chance next week, when I hopefully can understand them more.

Oh my gosh, I forgot about One Piece, even though I always say it's the best manga ever.

It's a pretty funny story, actually. I had a friend in 8th grade who was a crazed One Piece fanatic. Just about every topic we talked about got around to it. But, I also had another friend who thought it was horrible. I don't remember quite what she said, but it really didn't appeal to me at all. However, I was IMing my One Piece crazed friend one day, and we got to the subject of One Piece. She said lots of good things about it, and I decided to give it a shot.

I started with the anime, English subbed of course. I had heard lots of bad things about the 4KIDS' dubbing of that show. I really liked it. The animation was a bit strange, but it had a really good plot.

Fast-forward a few months. I had been following the anime the entire time, but I was starting to get curious about the manga, which I had heard was better than the anime. I go to my friend and ask her if she could find the chapter it was on. Not too surprisingly, she did. I quickly caught up to the latest chapter, and have been following it since.

I also watched Death Note, which my same friend recommended, though it wasn't quite nearly the same story. XD

Three's Company and Roseanne. Nuff said.

Eww. Rosanne. I hate that show.

I initially didnt get into the Office, but after I saw a few episodes, I realized how awesome it is

Community. I thought it would lame, but it is now my new favorite thing ever.

Same. I've loved it since season two though.

Chowder, arrested development, Reaper, and one piece were all shows I thought I wouldn't watch. Chowder and Reaper especially. After getting to know them out of boredom. Reaper became one of my favorite shows, Arrested Development I consider to be the best modern classic of today. Chowder is one of the few cartoons out there that make that cartoon spirit live on. And One Piece is something I still watch even though its super long.
