Secret Life of an American Teenager

This show is addicting and good, but soooooo unrealistic and too over-the-top. Does anyone else watch it?

God no.

The acting isn't too shabby...well, the girls are great actors, the guys are eh, but it's not that bad of a show.

I've seen commercials. Looks like your average crappy mega dramatic teenager shows.

The title is what gets me. "The Secret Life of the American Teenager". What exactly is the "secret", here? And isn't that just wonderful, that American teenagers are becoming more and more synonymous with teen pregnancy? : D

It's what all the girls in my school and what my sister and her friends are all obsessed with.

I tried to watch it, and it was just a run-of-the-mill teen drama ****fest. I got bored extremely quickly and went to play Team Fortress 2 instead.

Just when I thought 7th Heaven was the epitome of bad family dramas, this show comes on.

what shocks me the most is John Schneider's association with the show. After Dukes of Hazard and being one of the few good things on Smallville (Aside from the Luthors' of course) I don't understand why an actor as cool as him would even consider this being on this.

That's why he's not on the show anymore. He said "Screw this" and left, then they had to make his character die. LMFAO, and Grace is like "I killed him because I had sex!"

Ah, so it was this show that the clip I saw came from.

I saw that scene. And I was like "What the hell, I thought 7th Heaven got cancelled, what is this nonsense?" Now, I don't have a problem with shows advocating a pro-abstinence view, but done that way, where its like 'if you have sex, people will die!' with nary a hint of trying to be humourous...that isn't kosher in my books.

Though in all fairness I have never seen the scene in context, so who knows maybe whoever the guy was did somehow freakishly drop dead because some teenager decided to drop her panties.

Secret Life of the American Teenager: Think Juno just without the neat characters with cool personalities.

"Grace and Jack's families are super christian, and in the second season opener, they have sex for the first time, although Grace's father told her to wait untill marriage.
When Jack is leaving her house, Grace's mother and brother walk through the door, and tell him that her father has been killed in a plane crash. At the end of the episode, Grace is shown laying in bed crying, apologizing to her father. She thinks she killed him by disobeying him and God."
