Supernatural
A few weeks ago, my dad told me about this show. From the way he described it, it sounded really cool. And I most certainly was not disappointed.
Now, I'm a fan of horror. I read the likes of Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft, and I've played the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game. While I like the kind of gruesome horror such as Saw, there's the need for a more... supernatural horror. And this series is definitely what I was looking for. Lets start off with our heroes, Sam and Dean. They aren't a couple of ****tards that mess everything up. They're disguises have pretty much worked every time, they're quick thinkers, talkers, fighters, good at researching, etc. They have the qualities and skills that actually make them heroes. That's one thing I love. The idea behind the whole thing is what I enjoy the most: fighting the supernatural. It's not some Scooby Doo deal in which it's just some guy with a mask, this is the real deal. Real demons. Real spirits. Real curses. They've been doing this stuff before the series and during it, and they've watched horror movies, so they typically don't do stupid things like split up in the woods or walk towards something they've shot without emptying their clips into it. They think. I believe the fourth season has either started or ended. I just finished up the first season and will be getting to the second sometime this week. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone, especially anyone who's into this kind of stuff.

Re: Supernatural
I have a friend who really got into this show over the past year or so. I've seen a few episodes here and there because of that, and I was surprised at how solid the show was in its execution. I have plans to start watching it at some point, though there are plenty of other shows I need to get caught up on first.

Re: Supernatural
Fifth season is allegidly the last one, so if you are going to get into the show, now is the time.
I do agree, the show is a touch of pure genius, and whats more as the seasons progress you loose the original image of these guys being 'superheroes' and realize they are just normal people with normal (as well as paranormal) problems. Plus they have a sweet-ass ride.

Re: Supernatural
I'd like to start off with saying Dean is the manliest man in the history of mankind. Forget all this sensitive man bull**** all the girls seem to talk about these days, we all secretly want a slobbish, macho, schovanistic pig.
Well, mabye that and the fact he bumps the things that go bump in the dark. Bumps them with a sawn-off. As for the show itself. Love it! I mean, Blue summed it up in a nutshell, there is not much else to add. However, I am going to pour out my feelings on the first series like the narcotic fangirl I am. Well, I remember the day I discoverd Supernatural very well. It was a Tuesday. I came home from a run and sat down in the front room with a glass of juice. My brother was fast asleep on the couch and had left the DVD player and TV running. Now, normally I would have changed the channel, but he was laying on the remothe and I was too tired to get up. So I just watched what was on. Of course, it was Supernatural. The episode was at least 15 minutes in, and they were hunting a Scarecrow. I thought it was just silly, but as the show progressed I became more and more into it, then when the episode finished I restarted the DVD and watched the entire first series. Needless to say I was hooked and in love with Jensen Ackles (Dean) and having mixed feelings for Yellow Eyes (the main dude that the brothers dad is hunting...and yes, for the record I am finding that sentance hard to follow aswell) I'm going to wrap this all up by saying, just go watch it <3

Re: Supernatural
wow, good memories with this show.
Some time around the beginning of my junior year, I picked up the 1st season the first week it came out and I was addicted. Seriously, I'm not a horror movie junkie but the urban legends and such that they covered in each episode were so brilliant. At first, the show just seemed like a stupid typical WB fad, you know, like the run-of-the-mill WB show that rides on the fact that pretty boys are the main characters, but Jenson and Jared are just brilliant as the Winchester brothers. Jenson in particular steals the show for me. Sadly, I haven't watched the any of the episodes since the season 3 premiere, but I'll be sure to pick up season 3 some time and seasons 4 whenever it comes out. It's kinda sad that this show never really got a whole lot of attention, it had talent and care from its creators' and actors', only to be outdone in the ratings by bad reality shows.

Re: Supernatural
Yeah, that car is pretty sweet. Gotta say that I love their taste in music. Classic rock with bits of 90's. <3 Plus some of their fake names are names of some of those musicians.
I just started the third season today. Fourth should be on DVD over here on September 1st, if I'm in the first region, and I really have no clue. Season 5 would be airing starting on the tenth of that month, so at least I wouldn't go to far into season 5 before getting caught up. Like I said, I recommend this series. My interest in the series has only increased since I first started watching it.

The show's pretty entertaining despite the fact it has quite a bit of what I consider "filler" episodes. |
