America's Got Talent

So, who's been following this season? Some pretty interesting acts this year. : D

Re: America's Got Talent

It's fun watching people who think they're good and they're not. I enjoy the magician acts most I think. Singing is so overrated. I've thought about going on the show, but I can't seem to find anything to do. (:

Re: America's Got Talent

I hate all of those little dip**** kids who go to it. Every single time, the judges let them in because 'awwwwww, aren't they cute?'. Almost all of them have very little to no talent and make it to like, the semifinals. Remember that little four year old who made it to like, the top 8 or 4? She was horrible, I had to plug my ears every time. Imagine if she won, a little four year old having to do shows in Vegas, she would get boooed so much because she was so awful.

Other than the kids being able to audition, it's a great show.

Re: America's Got Talent

This is one show that can be entertaining.
I always love seeing magic acts and super-athletic stuff.

I agree that their allowing kids to audition is stupid, and I also hate every time someone comes on it to sing (that's not what the show's for, you morons, we have another one for that).

And whenever someone sings they're either horrible or end up being "the next Susan Boyle". I've heard that phrase on the news three times this week.

Allowing kids to audition isn't stupid, but passing them on just because they're "cute wittle kids" is.

As for the show not being about singing, I disagree; it's a general talent contest, singing and music included. Plus, on American Idol, it's mostly pop, whereas on America's Got Talent, you get to see more variety; opera singers and stuff, for example.

Re: America's Got Talent

I mainly like the more athletic acts like Acrodunk. They are a bunch of guys doing flips and other cool stuff while dunking basketballs.

And yes, the judges being so nice to kids is retarded. If I were a judge, as soon as a kid got up I would X them out.

Well yeah, that's more what I meant. But how many kids are going to beat the rest of the acts, really?

Technically, sure (and I do agree about the broader category of singing), but I highly doubt singing alone is going to get anywhere, unless you put a spin on it like Terry Fator did-- I mean, he impersonated female singers while doing ventriloquism.

Re: America's Got Talent

Eh, I used to watch that show. Kind of gets on my nerves how loud and obnoxious the audience is, especially when they don't like someone.
Or over dramatic, inspirational, triumphant music they play in the background when someone who has struggled through life is voted through to the next round. And they slow the tape down so the person walks slowly off stage smiling and crying. After seeing that ten times in one single show for people who really aren't THAT amazing, it begins to disgust me =/

My mom loves it though. She will holler at me from the living room, "Oh my gawd! Nikki! Come in here, you HAVE to see this guy!!! =D"
And I'm like, "No."
