Buffy took awesome and then made it into a TV show.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the first TV show that I religiously watched new every week of every season from the middle of Season 1 to the end of Season 7 (and re-watched at least once again just before the new fall season began). Of course, that wasn't truly the end of Buffy and company, so I had to watch the spin-off show Angel for another few years to get full closure of Buffy and Angel's deep, true, heart-breaking love story. Even now, so many years later, I still get weepy.

Buffy is one of my favourite shows ever. Everyone should watch it and then come talk to me so I can ramble on for hours about how amazing it is.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Can Buffy and Faith ever be friends again?
They were friends once I suppose, before Faith killed the Deputy Mayor.
But after Faith tried to kill Angel, Allied with the mayor, and took body...do you ever think they can really be friendsagain? When Faith returns in Season 7 the tension begins to rise again. In the comics, they began to fight again (briefly). Can they ever go back to the way things were? Trusting each other...being friends? |

Quote:
They were never really 'friends.' Buffy was jealous of Faith pretty much from the get-go, and Faith was jealous of Buffy. For different reasons, obviously. Buffy envied Faith's 'wow' factor on her friends, and really she just didn't like sharing the spotlight with another slayer, especially one as charismatic as Faith. Faith, on the other hand, was jealous of Buffy's personal life, since hers was pretty much ****. So they can't go back to something they never had. They'll be allies, but never friends. If only. But does that preclude it from being discussed in some way? |

Re: Buffy took awesome and then made it into a TV show.
Nope, it ended in 2003, after running seven seasons. It's currently got a canonical season 8 going on (as alluded to in one of the pseudo-bot posts), but the show proper has been done for a number of years. I actually didn't watch it until well after it had finished airing on television, only a few years ago I worked through the series one summer and fell in love.
Though it still maintains one of the larger followings for a television series. |
