Survivor vs The Amazing Race

I watch both of these shows and I like them both. I was wondering what you all think of these shows and which one do you like better.

I have to go with Survivor myself, it's been my favorite reality show my entire life.

I've always been a fan of Survivor, but never really The Amazing Race. I've seen a couple episodes here and there, never a whole season, and it just doesn't hold my attention. The fact that you get a wide variety of locations is really neat, but other than that there's nothing about it that interests me.

Survivor, on the other hand, I've been able to find enjoyable for pretty much its entire run. A lot of people wonder why, they insist that it must be like watching the same thing over and over again, but really each season is unique and different in its own way. No two people ever really have the same strategy, especially the winners. It's also more interesting on a social level than I've ever found Amazing Race to be. Watching how different people cope with other people as well as the environment of the locations.

So, definitely Survivor for me. I'm an unabashed fanboy.

I just watched some episodes of Survivor, but never watched The Amazing Race. I think Survior is ok.

the amazing race is far superior to survivor in my opinion because there are more challenges for the mind and the nerve, while in survivor eat bugs lay on the beach ok heres a million lets go home.

Except for the two (often physical, sometimes mental, sometimes both) challenges every three days, the near-constant stratigizing, the social and mental aspects of the game, the lack of food and exposure to the elements, risk of injury and infection, etc etc etc. All which wear on the physical and mental capabilities of all the players.

I'm not saying The Amazing Race isn't a hard game, but it's rather silly to dismiss Survivor for being 'easy' when it is very much and very obviously not the case.

Meh. Reality TV.

They both suck pretty bad.
