Deadliest Warrior

This is based on the TV show on spike. Which was your fave match-up and who would you like to see matched-up?

Ugh, that show is becoming so damn stupid. They do a good job of showing off the weaponry, but some of their decisions have been hair-brained. Most of the match ups are just dumb and completely one-sided when you really think about the situation they create. They should've done a Gladiator vs. Viking, and have the Appache fight either the Ninja or Pirate, way better fights right there than what we got.

And I'm livid over that last ep where they said the Pirate would win over the Knight. That was complete BS. The fact that they didn't take the Knight's shield into account for anything goes to show that they're not paying attention to every important detail, and that battle would've been over as soon as the Knight got in close. A Pirate would barely last three seconds in close combat with one of them.

I'm shocked the Ninja lost to a Spartan...

I liked the Pirate vs. Knight one. only seen three episodes and i only remember the pirate one.

Every single one of these episodes, the guy says the same line, "The greatest battle known to history!"

I'd like to see an indian take on a ninja.

A ninja is not a battle-hardened warrior, and never fought with honour. Like they said, they were peasents who fought dirty by using tactics. They were only assassins, not heavily-trained soldiers. The end result was obvious.

I didn't like that fight, anyway. The pairing made no sense to me.

But the show is pretty interesting, despite the Knight vs. Pirate one, and the one mentioned above. What I can't wait to see is how the Mafia vs. Yakuza one will turn out. That sounds very intriguing.

Mafia vs. Yakuza will be very interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to it... but I do feel that they leave out a lot of possibilities in the fights. I don't think a Ninja would have lost to a Spartan 1 on 1, but in a group, yes. I also can't see a pirate winning against a night. At all.

Like I said, ninja's were not soldiers. They could have easily been defeated by a Spartan, because of a Spartan's power, aggressiveness, heavy armour and weaponry, and they are able to fight on their own if need be. I mean, 300 Spartans did hold off half a million Persians, and no amount of ninja's could do that.

i'm not too sure about ninjas, though. maybe i'll look into it... if i remember...

Spartans also used their bare hands to rip out the throats of their enemies, can't forget that brutal fact... That's the thing that bugs me about the show, they only use weapons, physical weapons, not things like brute strength using only the body. It'd be way more interesting to see things like that, using 'weapons' like brute strength, and use different areas other than a forest each time. The beach was a nice touch at the end of the Pirate vs. Knight one though... still, randomize the areas at least.

Mafia vs. Yakuza sounded idiotic to me at first, but I'm also somewhat curious as to how they'll do it... besides guns and ceremonial items (Yakuza swords), what can they use? I want Tuesday to be here now

I was a little iffy about the ninja losing to the spartan, and if the pirate really did beat the knight, I'm quite sceptical, however, even if it is all BS, it's a pretty cool show.

I'd like to see something along the lines of modern day marine vs. prehistoric man... though I suppose there's an obvious winner there.

Though I can imagine an ape taking out a modern marine, and I'd imagine man in it's cave-manish years were quite ape-like.

I love that show. Except for the Pirate vs. Knight and Ninja vs. Spartan episodes.

So mismatched, the Ninja and Spartan were. And the Pirate vs. Knight battle didn't even use the damned halberd.

Who else would be more interested if the show was done in some sort of tournament style? At the end of each season, they'd start pitting former winners against each other, to fill up one entire show, just mock battles. Sure, lacks the awesome tests, but it would be a nice gimmick, and it'd spark endless debates (or arguments, rather ).

It would be pretty cool if they took all the results from the season, and, in two or three episodes, and pit them against each other in a tournament, sans awesome weapons comparisons. (perhaps a really quick recap before the fight.)

Geez, they don't do that? So after the first season is done, they don't see who the top warrior is? I really thought that's how the show worked. I'm starting to think "Deadliest Warrior" is the wrong title for the show. Maybe just "Deadly Warriors" would be a more suitible title.

It's a pretty good show that gives you the dream fights of legendary warriors. Also, people are just crying that Pirates beat Knights because of the whole Guns Vs. Swords bull**** that otakus like to jackoff to.

I'm happy the Pirates won. Cooler than Knights anyday.
