Why did they stop making the zelda cartoons?

Why did they stop making the zelda cartoons? If they kept making them, By now they would look as realistic as TP. They would probably even made a movie by now if it kept going on.

Because it was horrible and there wasn't a high demand for it. The Super Mario Bros Super Show was much better and even that went under.

Then followed other game shows such as Sonic, Mega Man (which sadly canceled very early) and a few others.

It would look great now, yes, but the story line didn't match up to the games, and this would have been very frustrating to avid players and hardcore fanboys, such as myself.

They were an epic failure of epicness.

After the first run... I would say its to late. Unless they can prove that it would be a success, the fans wont want to hear it. Its because of these cartoons/philips games that something like this is frowned on by fans.

Honestly propose this idea and many of the fans will point out these two things and say 'WELL EXCUUSE ME PRINCESS!' to go along with it.

I think if done right it would be great... but I doubt it will happen anytime soon

The Zelda cartoons were a joke.... they were so bad. I mean, I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did!

Yes, a TV show where the main character doesn't speak would be GREAT.

Link has never talked, in ANY Zelda game. Nintendo doesn't have plans for him talking at all, ever.

The first mistake they ever made was making him talk. Obviously it would be hard for a TV show main character, but that is exactly why they failed: It ruined Link.

What do you mean by telling him to mind his own business? I think you missed the point of the internet, and message boards; to voice your opinion.

He doesn't talk in the games because that works, a game is interactive enough to make up for it. If the main character in a TV series didn't talk - how would that be interesting at all? There's this thing called character development, you see. Usually it's a pretty important aspect of any movie or TV show.

Just for the record, ever since I dissed his oh-so-beloved ZUpodcast, Asci has treated me like a prick ever since. I suppose I deserve some of it, but I haven't said anything bad about it since then, and he's never let his rude attitude go.
