TV shows that have seriously fallen.
South Park. It was funny for the first few episodes, then it went straight to hell and the writers can not stop stating their political opinions every other second.
Or make a "JORJ BUSH IZ BAD PREZIDUNT LOL" or a "ROSIE O'DONELL IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FAT!!!! ROFLZ!!1!1!1!1!11!111111!!!!!!!111!11onehundredand eleven." joke. Ugh.

Pokemon has always been crap and with Power Rangers, it's really a hit-or-miss even though people always say "LOL EVERYTHING AFTER SPACE SUCKS" Like right now, for example, Jungle Fury is actually pretty good and so was SPD. Operation Overdrive, though? It's just...well, it's just ****in' ****, I dunno how else I could be blunt about it.
For South Park...I don't see why people are complaining about the episodes that actually have a message. South Park used to be just random **** really with each episode only have a minor or no plot whatsoever. However over time the show seems to have matured, still keeping the random and over-the-top humor but actually applying it to a plot with a message in each episode. I mean, episodes like the Scientology episode is probably one of the best episodes ever and really pulled off well in what it's trying to stress. For Season 12, though? The recent season? To be honest it hasn't been that good so far, but mostly okay I guess. |

Mad TV. Granted, their first season wasn't terribly funny, but seasons 2-8 were awesome. After that, they all sucked horribly.
The last great sketch they ever did was Tickle Me Emo. Same story with SNL. I miss Saturday TV Funhouse. Those sketches were hysterical.

The Digimon tv series, the first series was amazing, the second was ok but then series 3 kinda started screwing with the good things that made the show good then the 4th just made the show retarded and then it continued into series 5. I refuse to watch those last 2 seasons because it just ruins the show I grew up loving.

Drawn Together. The first two seasons had me in stitches, even though back then it was the same mindless dribble and full of the same spontaneous violence it has today, the old episodes seem to be funnier, and at times more witty. This last season that ended in November was HORRIBLE. I didn't laugh once the whole season. You could see that the writers were getting desperate and running out of ideas when they would include the same unfunny filler scenes for, like, ten times an episode.

South Park is still is awesome, although its been hit or miss this season.
Its the political and social satire that helps make it what it is, and there is still randomness every now and then. The Simpsons have definately declined in quality, although the movie was great.

Family Guy after season 3. In the first few seasons the "Hey, remember that time I..." gags were few and far apart, but after that it's pretty much every sentence. And they overused the chicken after the first time.

I miss the old Spongebob. I don't really watch the show at all anymore, but the recent episodes have, in my opinion, been a serious disappointment. They've started reusing episode concepts. I recently say a newer one in which Mister Krabs introduced the totally new idea of keeping the Krusty Krab open twenty-four seven. It was like... wtf? Didn't they already make this episode? Granted, they were quite different episodes, but I thought it was lame anyhow. The dialogue seems to be less snappy and clever. I still find myself laughing at a lot of the old episodes I've seen a billion times, but the newer episodes lack the semi-witt charms of the older seasons. I'm also not a big fan of the recent change in art- I always really liked the old animation style- it was kind of rough, but it was really quirky and had a lot of character, and it was unique to the genre at the time. Now the outlines of all the characters seem super-thick, and the colours are genericly cartoon bright and it looks a lot more CG.
I find that most cartoons decline over time, or seem to. Talking to friends about cartoons that we all watched as kids, I've found a general consensus that the later episodes are less favorable- perhaps because they lack the novelty, or the "remember-when" quality of the episodes we watched since we were small. I don't know if that's the case with everyone, but I've always found it to be that way.

Spongebob.
It used to be funny back in 2004. But now it is just... not good.
