Anyone know this Cartoon?

Well this has been bothering me for to long. I have this very vague image of a show from when I was very little. I have tried searching for it, but find nothing remotely close. I don't know anything other then that the main character wore a Yellow Coat and I believe he was some kind of detective. I do know he was once drugged with cholorform.

Other then that I have real no knowledge of the show or even if it is one! Its just been on my mind from time to time. Always when i get nostalgic from remembering old shows I used to watch, this one odd memory would always pop up.

So... by any chance does anyone know what the hell I am remembering?

Or maybe confirm that I have made this all up long ago and now seems so real?

No, Inspector Gadget had a grey coat. The only detective with a yellow coat I can think of is Dick Tracy.
