Anyone Remember Doug?

One of my favorite shows of alltime is Doug. I grew up watching. It was about kid named Doug Funnie and his life basically. His best friend was Skeeter a blue guy. His sister Judy was beatnik. His nextdoor neighbor was a scientist named Mr. Dink. He had a dog named Porkchop who lived in an igloo packed with luxuries. His crush was Pattie Mayonaise. The bully at his school was Roger. His vice-principal was Mr. Bone (trying to hold in laughter). That was some character info. It wasa great show wih original and unforgettable moments. (neematoads) Do any of you guys remember Nick's greatest show?

I remember Doug, sorta. I remember a few episodes and only just a few scenes from them.

I remember the episode where Porkchop was blamed for attacking a daughter. I remember how sad it was.

I also remember an episode where Doug and his sister Judy were driving somewhere. They run into this mall and then some rennisance(sorry horrible speller!) and such.

I also remember an episode where they were performing some school play and they were snowed in, but nothing much more then that.

I remember the episode where Judy brings home this guy and has her family pretend they are something they are not.

I also remember the episode where Doug was new in town and of course... the Neematoads!

Oh and bits of an episode where Doug and Skeeter dig up fossils on whatshisfaces property.

The rest of the series I only have brief memories of. Most of it I cant really make out.

I didn't hate Doug, but I can recall one instance in which Doug had a dream that he was getting chased by a monster traffic light. (It resembled a big spider.)

But no, most of the times I liked Doug. I wish I had access to old episodes.

Does anyone remember the one where Doug stayed with those twins. He thought their dad was a mad scientist but he was a person who made donuts. Or the one where Doug was going to Patties party but they were going to eat liver and onions so he was afraid to go.

Yes. I remembered how unrealistic the situations on the show were and how it bugged the crap out of me.

I loved the last episode of the old series (the subsequent installment, Disney's Doug, sucked; Patti was anoerexic or something?) in which they were at graduation and Pomp and Circumstance was playing, and Chalky was actually singing the words "pomp and circumstance, circumstance and pomp..." etc.

Personal favourite episode was Doug En Vogue, in which the teen TV star Dylan Farnum dressed like the Doug does daily (green sweatervest and all) in one episode of the ficticious show "Teen Heart Street" and he's accused of being a bandwagoner. He tries to prove he's worn the same thing every day for months, but when he shows them his closet full of the same outfit, they accuse him of being suck and obsessive.

And the one where he was a humburger.

Yeah, I remember that show. I used to watch it everyday! I can't say I remember too much about it, but some of those characters definitely ring a bell. I'll admit, I kinda miss that show. Nick's more recent cartoons have been getting worse and worse, there's no doubt about it. Like, oh say, "Back at the Barnyard" for example, or "El Tigre". *Sigh* I miss Nick's older cartoons.

Too bad no seasons are out on DVD. Damn that Disney...

I remember when Nicktoons came out. it was like "oh my gosh, cartoons on Nickelodeon!?!?!" because until then, it was all live-action type stuff and a lot of gameshows. the first nicktoons were doug, ren and stimpy and rugrats. then came Rocko's modern life, ah real monsters, angry beavers, hey arnold, rocket power (i think) and all hose other dumb ones.. wild thornberries... I'm sure I'm forgetting some... Oh sponge bob...

The early cartoon shows on Nicktoons were awsome. Most recent ones are pretty horrible.

Of course I remember Doug! But I remember it from the early 90's... when it was run by Nick and not by Disney. I own a VHS of the Halloween episodes somewhere. It was one of my favorite shows as a kid.
