Scrubs

I haven't seen a scrubs thread. It is my favorite show ever! Here you can talk about it, and all of its glory...

Re: Scrubs

Favourite show. Probably the best show on TV since it started airing. And it seems to have started a trend of hospital shows with humor in them (ie House and Grey's Anatomy), though different humor styles (as the latter two are more drama, whereas Scrubs is definately more comedy). I hate how it's overlooked so often in terms of awards, and am sad that this season (starting tonight! Even though I'm missing it...) will more than likely be the last. But it had a good run and it's better that it ends before it gets stale.

Re: Scrubs

Ironicly the only award Scrubs has won was for the Episode where JD has an extended fantasy squence where his life is like a traditional sitcom, called My Life in Four Cameras. this was fou best four camera sitcom when Scrubs is usually a ground breaking one camera show. But yeah I have all the DVDs. All the charcters are awsome but its those minors ones such as Ted, Doug and the Todd (the so called weapons chest) that really makes this show funniest live action thing on television.

True, that's the only real "recognized" award it has one, but it won two others:
The TVLand Future Classic Award in 2002 and the Humanitas Award in the 30-minute category for "My Old Lady." Still, it'd be nice if they actually won an emmy or golden globe, this probably being the last season and all.

Re: Scrubs

Zach Braff is going hollywood(Tear,Tear). Why is it that good shows get cancelled so often.

Re: Scrubs

This is, with no possible exceptions, the best Medical television show ever. I used to like House, but ever since Comedy Central started airing Scrubs I've completely devoted myself to watching it whenever I can, on any channel, and at any time. Despite the fact that I know none of the actors' names, I follow this show more closely than any other. Besides the Colbert Report, of course.

Re: Scrubs

Family Guy Flashbacks + Alley McBeal Daydreams + Grey's Anatomy Hospital lingo = Scrubs.

Now I have a question. I've been watching the re-runs on Comedy Central, I'm curious to know what day/time/channel are the new episodes?

"Did somebody say something about cheese?"

It's understood that this will be the last season though. Zach Braff has said that he will be leaving the show after this season, and most think that rather than continue without him the show will end. Though, recently in interviews with other cast members, they've been saying the plan is to go on without him, but I think that it's more likely that they're just using that to try to get him to stick around. Course, that's just what I think. Could be they actually will go on without him. I dunno how I'd feel about that.

I don't see how Grey's Anatomy can be a part of an equation that leads to Scrubs when it has been on for twice as long. As they said themselves on the show:

And somehow comparing it to Family Guy makes me feel dirty. Possibly 'cause I think that show is trash now.

Re: Scrubs

I love it, Seen all 5 seasons. They keep getting better. You forgot to mention the best character in the show though, the janitor! Another amazing thing about scrubs is how they use music, the song is always perfect for the moment.

Re: Scrubs

My favorite comedy show at the moment and I think one of my favs of all time RIGHT after Chapelle's (sp?) Show. It's also rare that almost all characters of a comedy series is my favorite. I honestly can't figure out who is my favorite character in the series. The only persons I hate in the show is:

Elliot
Dr. Cox's Wife (Kate? I keep forgetting her name)

I think my fav. character from greatest to least is:
Dr. Turk
Dr. Dorian (JD)
The Todd (reminds me of one of my best friends and he's HILARIOUS)
Dr. Cox
Carla
Dr. Kelso
The Janitor
