Super Mario Bros. Super Show

For those of you that don't know, this was the Mario cartoons from the late 80's. This aired along with the Legend of Zelda, which didn't work out so good with the attitude they gave Link and other things.

The show had over 100 episodes, which you can probably find on Youtube. I've recently been watching them, since they are pretty good. They show many classic Mario things including--
Mario , Yoshi, Luigi, King Koopa(AKA Bowser)Bobomb, Koopa Troopa(in all of his forms), and the Pirahna Plants. Theres more, but I think you get the point almost everything was in it. It has the classic King Koopa trying to take the Mushroom Kingdom in all different ways. There are also some things you may not have known.

In the episode Stars in their eyes, theres a Zelda reference. In order to stop King Koopa, the aliens buzz a song, which is the Zelda theme. Link hums the Mario theme when he is practicing with his sword.

I'd like to know what you think of it.

Fire Bird, I think they made 3 kinds. This one is a cartoon one. Google "Mario Cartoon", thats what I'm talking about.

I don't know if it was the same thing I used to watch, but I remember (and this was back it like 1995) that before Sailor Moon came on in the morning, a Mario show would come on. And it was different from the Mario show shown above.

The funiest part waz teh openin theme sonng. I waz crackin up...

I'v never seen teh sho befor, but, after watchng a few of the episods, it made me realisse that Nintendo needs to make new Marioe and Zelda catoons. Only, withut the cheesiness.

I have the first and second series of them on DVD. Amusing, but not in the way they intended. The Zelda one wasn't much better though (which I also have on DVD). I think they should make them again, but this time, with good 3D animations.

I have the ones based on Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World on DVD. I do believe their was a much an earlier cartoon based on Super Mario Brothers and Super Mario 2. The super MArio world episodes are accompanined by some Captain N cartoons, only one good one thats based on tetris though. I know *goes to wikipedia*

There we are. I love the fact they just seemed to use the sound affects from the games though, despite their cheeseyness. As for making them again War Cheif. well yes Zelda would probably have to be computer animated but Imagine waking up on aturday morning grabbing a bowl of sugary ceral and settling in to watch Paper Mario the series. It would have 3-D backgrounds but everything else should be more traditional.

I OWN these things! They're hilarious! I got the zelda equavilent that was aired on Fridays
and plan to buy the mario ones that I used to watch on Saturday mornings.

Lol, that was funny when Mario turned Fire ball Mario by touching the Star. And was that carpet a pidgit carpet by any chance.

I seen a few episodes of that a few years back! i thought it was a bit weird! What about the Zelda series (Sorry bout going off-topic a little)? That was weird as well! And the Mario Film! WTF? That was the worst film ever!

I have a couple of episodes but there crap, thats what you get from a cerael box.
So wheres the part with Link?
