high school musical (excuse me while i go throwup)

ARG!!!! i hate this movie!!!! disney channel plays it over and over again, and it sucks every single time! the singing is so fake it makes me cringe. and now there makeing a second one! this is really sad, the singing is fake, everything is fake except the dancing, which is its only strong point, the story is fake too. that the girl gabriella just randomly starts going to troys skool, gah how i hate what disney has done with itself!!!!! if anyone else here shares me hate please post your thoughts, i cant find anyone who thinks what i think....

I, personally, thought it was alright. How was the singing fake? And, for gods sake, use some CAPITAL letters. And, fi youd on't like, there's something called different channels. Just change the channel whenever its on.

how can you ask "how is the singing fake?" half the time it looks like they are lipping it (which they are, they do bad job masking it) and you can tell thats not what they really sound like, it sounds so artificial, it bothers me. and as for my grammar, if you can read it does it matter? its like bad handwriteing, its still ledgable, just dosnt look as nice. and besides, were i live its very late.....yawn!..... and im quite tired and bored, i dont pay as much attention when im tired. no im not going to bed cuz ive got stuff to do.

Okay, and no I haven't realized that they were *Cough* "faking it". And of course the story is fake, it's a fictional movie. And, hwo does it sound artificial? It's not like it sounds all robotronic or something.

Well, I hate this movie too. It is the corniest movie I have ever seen. And my little brother is obsessed with it and does all the dance moves, which are corny too. Mkay?

And the High school they go to is called East. That is the same name as mine. So I am embarassed by the movie in that way too.

Life isn't like that in real life in High School. I don't know where they are getting their storyline from anyway.

Disney Sucks! The only show I can even bare to watch without gouging my eyes out is the Emporor's New Groove. High School Musical is filled with the retarded sissys in the world. You can tell that the guys in it are screaming that they need a mocha latte and a manacure. No offence to some people I know...Anyways people in my school when Dusney first aired it wouldn't shut the hell up about it. Oh and everyone's iPod at my school is filled with their frickin songs.

It's not that bad.

In eighth grade, some of the girls in my class convinced my music teacher to watch it. She really didn't want too, but she did eventually. We only watched about ten minutes of it every class because the teacher hated it as well, but we eventually got through it and I can't believe people actually watch this crap.

This isn't what happens in high school. In REAL high school, people swear every other word, do drugs, and DON'T SING.

They're only making a second one because it was such a hit with the teenage girls. Luckily I don't take music anymore, seeing as I'm in high school and I don't have too.

I hate this movie too. I can only stand a few minutes and feel the need to wash my eyes and ears. Disgraceful. They should give all that money they got/used and give it over to charity.

well that's true, but obviously they cant put swearing and drugs in a disney movie. but yeah, in high school you hear swears in every sentence. my middle school had a crack issue last year, they had to get police to "patrol" the bathrooms, so i can only imagine what high school is like.

it's an ok movie, but what you said about it not being like a real high school because it doesn't have swearing and that. It's a disney film, so it's for little kiddies mainly so that's why the film has no swearing & drugs. The reason they sing, well maybe it has something to do with the fact that the film is called High School Musical..lol

I have not seen this movie, nor do I wish to. But I do know that the original Disney movies suck big time. The old ones were somewhat okay.

I know this will sound stupid, but do you mean the Disney Channel Original Made-For-TV-Movies, or original Disney films in general? Sorry, I'm just a tad dense tonight.

Although I have to admit, I'm getting a little sick of this "so-and-so movie sucks, therefore Disney sucks" mentality. It's downright childish.

Back on topic...

Most of the made-for-TV-movies I've seen have been awful. High School Musical is no exception. But the amazing thing about this film is it's something of an inspiring experience. Much akin to a Phoenix rising from it's own ashes, I can now say with unwavering confidence "I have seen High School Musical, and technically, I'm still alive".

But here's the things about Disney films, you have to be able to put yourself into a little kid's state of mind. It's light entertainment. This isn't supposed to be a deep, philosophical experience. This isn't "The Thin Red Line"

This isn't to say Disney hasn't made their fair share of meaningful films. But that's a discussion for another time.

Anywho, was High School Musical bad? I won't lie, it was horrible. But Mary Poppins more than made up for it. Besides, compared to some of the other trash they put on the T.V. these days, I'd say it's actually about par.

I'll take High School Musical over According to Jim any day.

Yeah, I'm with shadowthief on this one. Seriously, what did you expect?

Nonetheless, I give this 'thing' a 3/10. Pity points for being made for TV.
