Futurama in my opinion is the greatest show ever made! The main cast is Dr. Ziodberg who is the giant lobster, Fry the guy in the red jacket who is a complete retard, Bender the beer drinking robot, the professor...just weird, Hermes the manager, Leela the cyclops, and that Japanese girl. 2 other characters are Zap Branigen and Kip, those 2 weird people and Zap always hits on Leela.

Bender is my favorite character out of them all. His famous "Kiss my shiny, metal ass" is something I love from him. He also runs on booze.

So who is your favorite character, why, and what do you think of the show?

I just saw 4 different Futurama shows in this last 2 days both in french and english (it's been a long time I haven't seen a show) And I also say it's Bender, because by far he is the funniest. When Bender adopts 12 orphans, he says something that got stuck in my head, I do not remember his exact quote, it goes like this:
"Bender: What do Bender JR. must say to nice people when they do something nice?
Bender Jr.: It's about time!
Bender: Good boy!" Or something like that.

Fry is plain stupid, I agree.

Zoidberg is quite funny, too, but I prefer Bender.

I've sceen all the eps. so many times the jokes run into eachover. But still most of the time its a great show.

I voted Zoidberg, just because he's plain awesome.

I love Futurama. It is, in fact, my favorite cartoon. I watch at least one episode a day on [adult swim], and I laugh every time. My custom rank was inspired by Futurama. I love the little phrases they do at the beginning of the theme song. One was "AS SEEN ON TV", so mine is "AS SEEN ON ZU".

I can't wait for the new season (and the supposed movies) to start. I voted for Zoidberg all the way. One of my favorite episodes was on last night (where the gang make miniature versions of themselves and go inside Fry's body)

Bender: Where are we? The anus?
Proffesor: No we are in the heart right now. Also known as the "Love Muscle".
Zoidberg: Where food gets digested.

One great thing about Futurama is: funny material can come up every single day on the news (all they have to do is make a reference to the past). Since Fry is from 1999, I'd like to see George W Bush's head in a jar. It's been a few years since Futurama has been cancelled. There's plenty of comedy material for the picking.

I love Zoidberg. He'll eat anything, is a goofball, and is the official doctor of the crew even though he knows little of Human anatomy.

There was one show that I only saw a little of where they went into the past somehow, and Zoidberg gets captured by the military.

General: What are you doing on this planet?
Zoidberg: Not a day goes by that I don't ask myself the same question.

Soldier to General: Now we will see what, if anything, the alien eats.

Enter Zoidberg: Oh, a buffet! Darn, I don't have my wallet.

Soldier speaking on other side of glass: It's free.

Zoidberg screams in jubilation, and devours the buffet. Chuncks of food fly against the glass, and Zoidberg lunges to lick it clean.

General: Call the president.



There is also a show where Zoidberg gets hormone crazy. That was my favorite show with him.

I've always preferred Fry.

He may be an idiot (a funny idiot), but his character is more complex like that. There are quite a few really sensitive, deep episodes centering around him (The Sting, Prehistoric Bark, Luck of the Fryish, Parasites Lost, etc.) which make him the most likeable character, in my eyes, as well as one of the funniest. The other characters are great in their own ways, but Fry's the center of it all, and he holds the show together.

I love just about every other character on the show, though.

Benders cool. Personally, I think he is the funniest of the show and he makes the show great... Well so does Fry, but bender is funnier and unforgetable

The episodes are getting olld, but thank God that 2008 will have 200 brand-chewie-bar-new episodes, along with a movie!

How can I not vote for Zoidberg. Wether being the essentail character for a parody of famous trek epsidoes or a chacter to deliver a minor joke he is awsome. His interactions with the earth of the 1940s as the roswell alien are comdey gold. By the way Vaati Amy is Chinese not japanese, but she could more correctly be described as martain seen as her family have had a range on the western hemisphere of mars for some time. You also forgot to inculded the proffessor as an example of other characters under the other characters catergory.

Futurama doesn't get as much credit as it desearves I think. Sure it's not NON STOP FUNNY BLAH BLAH like Family Guy or whatever, but when it is funny, it's funny as ****.

Plus, Futurama is the only comedy cartoon that has ever made me cry, there are some really touching moments in the show. Like the episode with Fry's dog, and at the end how it showed him waiting for Fry to come back. Or the episode were Leela finds out about her past, and at the end it shows her parents secretly looking over her while she was growing up. Soo good.

A cross between the Proffessor and Zoidberg. Why the proffessor? Well he just says what's on his mind without thought for feelings. My favourite line with him is when Hermes is going to do a Limbo contest in the olympics, but he's really fat and hasn't done it in years. So the proffessor steps in and says:
"Don't worry, the fat pig'll do fine, thanks to my latest invention..."
Such classic. But Zoidberg is just funny because he's always the butt of the joke. Bender especially seems to hate him, which is just hilarious. My favourite episode with him, as it seems is a lot of people's, is the 'Roswell that ends well' episode.

I love the series, but somehow, it can't compare to Family Guy. But it is my second favourite animated show of all time.

The two funniest in my opinion is Bender and Zoidberg. Bender I would say a little, just because he has more lines. He's a main character, while Zoidberg is secondary.

I saw an episode recently where Bender ate a thousand year old potatoe chip, and bricks fell out of his butt!

I'd have to say Bender is my overall fav, but who can resist the quirks of Zoidie-poo?

It's hard for me to pick a favourite episode, they all were fresh and witty. I could watch days worth of it, and I must ask are they really bringing it back?
Dear lord this has made me happier than a green snake in a sugar cane field.

I don't watch this show anymore, but my old favorite is Bender. He drinks, smokes, and curses a lot. 'nuff said.

Ya just gotta love Zoidberg & his crazy noises... plus, he has an ink pouch to help escape his enemies. ;P
