Zelda Anime?

Ok, there might as well be a thread on this already, but oh well:
After watching the Cartoon series of LoZ on Limewire, I thought "Since the American version sucked so bad, why not try making them when they origionally came? An Anime version? That would P'wn Bratz any day!"
Since there's already Pok'emon, Sonic X, Viewful Joe, why not some good ones, like Zelda or Halo? (Halo was my friend's idea, not mine!) You guys think it would be better for the world?

As long as they obey some simple ground rules:

1) Link is a boy/teenager of virtue. He does NOT try to get a kiss from Zelda in EVERY show. He's brave, outgoing, and a complete gentleman.

2) He uses good combat skills, instead of just shooting at enemies all the time like in the other series. I swear that's all he did in battle. I want jumpm attacks, spin attacks, and the like combined with some secondary weapons.

3) Ganon/dorf needs to be scarily evil. He just didn't put off many bad vibes in the cartoons.

That's all I can think of right now. If they follow those guidelines, I'm sure they will get more than 13 episodes this time.

Agreed, it should be WAY better than the Cartoon one here. Maybe some Humor, but make it action, and they should actually make the complete storyline of OoT and MM! Seriously, just keep the pace, and it would rule the world along with the "overrated" Naruto and other such!

Why would they make halo. Halo is made by microsoft which is not in Japan just saying and I agree with all of this.....

The manga was fine in my opinion. And the first chapters were even great! If they would take the manga as an example to answer for Danpnes rules. I think it would be ok.

What you said about OoT or MM, solink I must disagree with you. I would say they'd make a new storyline with some endless story like Samourai Jack does. With Zelda and Ganondorf and triforce-bul***** too! But not especially OoT or MM.

You know how theres a lot more stuff in the anime than the manga, I think they could do alot making more out of the zelda manga like put details of puzzles from the dungeons instead of just fighting the boss. http://www.zelda-infinite.com/files/manga/

thank you so much for this link!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was considering buying the manga but this is better!!!! i love ya!!!!!!! well not really but you know what i mean! by the way, not to rent a mod or anything but shouldnt this be put in either general zelda or anime section, just saying, i could be wrong. and yeah they could make an excilent anime series based off the manga, add some stuff, do a decent dubbing job, no crappy actors, it would rock, i would buy the anime dvd if there was one and worship it.

I think the real manga is in Japaneese and I dont know where you would buy Zelda Manga

They already had a Zelda Tv show,a nd to be honest, I got really bored after the first 5 episodes. In fact, you can by the 13 episodes on dvd, I think its like 20-something bucks

I don't think they should make a Halo show, they should release the movie first and see the stats on views. If its successful MAYBE then they should consider it

"Anime" and "Cartoon" are tow completely different styles.

The Zelda T.V. series sucked big time. Every episode had almost no sword fights, just Link blasting them. His "Well, Exuuuuuuuuuuuse me, princess" was the most annoying thing in the world. Its the first episode and I think its the only one worth watching.

Hence my rule about real swordfighting. Shooting beams is fine on occassion, not as a priority.

But it's still cartoons. Anime is just usually more mature cartoons

anime is a syle of cartooning, thats all it is, it can be mature, but it can be childish too, all it is is a style (like cell shaded graphics or sprites)

trust me, you can find anything on ebay, although even if i did get it, your right, it would be in japanese, unless i somehow got a translated version. but anyway, thanks again for the link!!! finally something to do besides post here and rot to death!

the hyper link of the manga i posted is translated, sometimes loosely, but still translated. They are all worth viewing, unfortunately, they got rid of their foursword manga before i got the chance to read it.

The world needs to get over how great Ocarina of Time was and how Wind Waker let everybody down. Come on! That was almost nine years ago! Life goes on and we should keep an open mind about everything new. Personally I'm always glad when Nintendo ditches the old worn out concepts when making a new Zelda and starts fresh.

The same I think should be applied to a Zelda anime. Forget everything about the old series and the classic games and start the plot from scratch. Un-related to the games' timeline. Although it would be neat of the anime would fill those nasty gaps in the timeline and tell stories that link the games together, but somehow I think that would not find a very large audience.

But yeah I liked the music of the old series too but thats about it.
