Scooby Doo

Yup, this thread is about that incredibly awesome show, Scooby Doo. I've loved this show since I was little and haven't stopped watching it since. I love all the characters, and can't really decide on a favorite. Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy, Scooby Dum, and Scooby Dee (even though she's only appeared in one episode as far as I know). There's different series of episodes too. Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, What's New Scooby Doo?, Scooby and Scrappy Doo, The New Scooby Doo Movies, etc.

It's an old show, came out when my mom was a little girl which was a few decades ago. My uncle loved the show too. And now me and my little brother are in love with it. My mom didn't like it though, hehe.

I've always loved it when Shaggy yelled "Zoinks!" and when Scooby tackled him. Fred is adorably cute and is obviously Daphne's lover (I've researched this and found plenty of evidence to support it). And Daphne obviously loves him back. There's clues in the tv shows, some of the movies, and even in commercials about it sometimes. Velma's incredibly smart, and I've learned much from her.

So, if you're a big fan of Scooby Doo like I am, talk about the show all you want here! SCOOBY DOO IS THE PWNAGE!

i like scooby doo too, its a shame they no longer show it on cartoon network(dispite the occasional movie) my favorite character is probly shaggy and scooby, they are the clowns and make the show so funny. ive seen alla the shows, whats new scooby doo, normal scooby doo, a pup named scooby doo, and the movies, they are all good, the movies were theyre actuall actors instead of animation is cool too. my favorite episode is probly the one were the gang gets chased around the abandoned theme park by a robot ghost thingi, i also like the one were they're in the abandoned mine, cant remember and details about that episode though.

They have it on Cartoon Network. At least in England. Because we have this Sky box thing and it's British. It plays the shows at British time (which is an hour behind where I am) and the commercials are British and you get the idea. The Sky box has loads of channels, and two of the cartoon channels have Scooby Doo and those are Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Oh and my favorite episode in the Scooby Doo, Where Are You? series is the one about the ghost clown. Can't remember the name of it, though. I also like the one about the puppet master guy. He haunted a theater. My favorite episodes in the New Scooby Doo movies series is the four episodes with the Harlem Globetrotters. Gotta love those basketball stars! I never really liked the What's New, Scooby Doo? series. It's okay, but not as cool as the older series. A Pup Named Scooby Doo is cute too, though they really messed up Fred in that series. :/

yeah a pup named skooby doo is like, well its like they took scooby doo and zabbed em till they were shorter, cuter, and less interesting. its an okay show but the rest of the whole series is much better. i dont get british stuff or boomerang, in fact i didnt even have cable tv until this year O.o

Yeah, I agree, the rest of the series was better, except for the What's New Scooby Doo? series. That one was the worst of them all in my opinion. It was okay, but not as interesting or funny as the older series.

Me! Me! I am!!!! Well okay, then, I like the whole mystery stuff, and Shaggy + Scooby are just funny and the "bad guys" are just... not smart, well, dumb, in accordance to the prophecy. But... uhh, I also liked the first non-cartoon movie, but the second one was just... well, it wasn't what I expected, in accordance to the prophecy. Stony I'm sure there's a lot of fans out here, but I think they're just too shy, and I don't know why they are , in accordance to the prophecy.

Anyway, I'd like to talk about my research for the Daphne/Fred thing, and my evidence for it includes:

1. A hinting of the relationship in a commercial talking about Daphne. The hint is a rumor that has been going around saying they're in love, and Fred acts like it isn't true, but appears to know it is. Scooby also hints that it's true by blowing kisses.
2. The fact that Fred and Daphne pair up all the time when the gang splits up to look for clues.
3. Daphne kisses Fred on the cheek one time in the movie Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase (which happens to be one of my favorite Scooby Doo movies).
4. Velma asks Fred why he always pairs up with Daphne in the movie Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost (another of my favorites). Fred then is shy and almost blushes when he tries to tell her, but get interrupted. It's as if he wanted to tell her he loves her.
5. In one of the episodes of the What's New, Scooby Doo? series, Fred and Daphne play like bf and gf to catch a bad guy, but wind up really looking like they're in love, nearly kissing, but they get interrupted by the bad guy.

See, all this evidence makes it so obvious that Fred and Daphne are in love. It's been hinted at it so much, that it there can't be any way it's wrong. Really.

I hate Scooby Doo with a passion. Not just the dog, but the entire program. I was actually going to create a thread about how much I hate this show, but it looks like someone made it for me.

Repetitive. Every show is basically the same, with a few minor changes. The 'gang' is faced with a basic villian, are forced to embark on a basic adventure, and go through the same basic garbage. Over, and over, and over again. Never does the villian get away. Never. The show always concludes with the 'gang' capturing the villian, stripping him/her of their mask, and watching as they're taken away by some sort of authority figure.

Boring. Do people actually enjoy watching this program? I mean honestly. Does anyone else get the feeling of pure boredom while watching this show? I don't know which worse, the ridiculously slow pace, or the mediocre writing. The animation is so outdated, the plotline is clearly poor, and the characters have little to no emotion. There's simply nothing enjoyable about Scooby Doo. Blech.

I'm sure I used to watch this show from time to time as a child, but not under my own free will. Even back then I knew what an overrated mess Scooby Doo was. There are so many better mystery shows out there. Whether it be a cartoon or not, I promise you'll find yourself much better off watching something else.

I remember awhile ago I watched this. Now all I can get is that crap on KidsWB. I'm usually sleeping though. Sizz mentioned everything about Scooby Doo, negative and positive. Can they make just make 1 show with a villan getting away with it all? Some of the episodes were ok to watch. THe only thing I have to say that I liked about it, was that Scooby and Shaggy could make a restaurant go out of buisness. Though, that was kinda gross.

And about the century gothic font, I just wanted to test it out, you know since Vaati is kinda gothic.

I absolutely agree. Even when I was a kid, what with all of my friends liking Power rangers and Scooby and such, I hated this show. Just the entire experience and Deja Vu of the same old "haunted castle" plot development and the whole "person in mask gets dragged off while yelling things about meddling kids" turns me off. This show truely sucks, from childhood to now.

There are no official rules stating that I'm not allowed to post my opinion in a thread. Not everyone has the same preference as you, Stony. It's not like I came in here saying "SCOOBY SUCKS BOOOO! EVERYONE WHO LIKES HIM IS DUMB" No, not at all. I stated why I disliked the show, gave examples, and what have you. I'm allowed to say what I believe, thank you very much.

And hey, I'm not the only one who speaks the truth.

Truth? Ha. It's all opinion. You can think what you want, but I love Scooby Doo and there is no "truth" behind whether it's good or bad. It's all opinion. Not everyone has the same preference as you either.
