One of my new favorite shows is Man vs. Wild. That show is amazing how it shows how you can survive in the wild for a long time.

Re: Official Favorite TV Show Thread

You know, I've never posted in this thread, because even though I love TV (as much as I love music and film), I just keep adding more and more television shows, especially this summer, when I've watched two complete series from start to finish. I tend to gravitate towards shows with really strong characters these days. So I guess it's finally time to share my taste in television. So in roughly alphabetical order:

Arrested Development: Always found the show funny, but never really watched it regularly. I got all three seasons of the show on DVD from my uncle, and in marathon watching sessions fell in love with this hilarious quirky show. While overtly hilarious, I love laughing at its more subtle, perhaps unintentional jokes, like the number of "Happy Days" cast members who appear.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: This is one of the shows where I watched the whole series from start to finish. I was a fan of Joss Whedon because of his work on "Firefly" and his comic books, and decided, on a whim, to check out this cult show. While it had its weak episodes, the strong characters built on the talented cast made sure that every episode was worth watching. I'm planning on getting the complete series on DVD when I have the money.

Dexter: I ironically got into this show just as my sociology course of Serial Killers was drawing to a close. Fantastic cast, amazing leading man, interesting storylines, overall just excellent. Check this show out if you can, it's facinating.

Entourage: I got into this show while working a ****ty job, so it was essentially watching a bunch of guys living my dream. There's been a couple episodes recently that have probably been the weakest of the series' run, but overall is still a really solid show.

Firefly: Hands down, one of my top three, and one of the best shows to ever be on TV, despite only having 14 episodes. This is the show that really introduced me to Joss and the way he worked, and I was hooked from the first episode. Everyone should watch this show, and buy Serenity, the movie counterpart. There just so happens to be a Special Edition coming out on the 21st!

Huff: I just finished watching this series today. Really interesting to see Hank Azaria doing something other than his voice work on The Simpsons, but his supporting cast is just as strong, with Oliver Platt and Blythe Danner really shining. First season is a little better than the second, but both are worth the watch. I'm shocked that this brilliance was cancelled.

Scrubs: I've been a fan of this show since the beginning, and will be until it finishes its run this season. Hilariously funny, blends the comedy and drama flawlessly (except in some instances in the most recent season), and an exceptionally talented cast, with Johnny C., Ken Jenkins, and Niel Flynn all stealing the spotlight in every scene they are in, and a supporting cast to die for.

Survivor: I don't care what anyone says, this show still hooks me in every season.

24: Yeah, last season wasn't the greatest. As long as Jack keeps kicking ass, I'll keep coming back to see him do it.

The Office: Easily the funniest show on right now, with easily the funniest cast. This show just keeps getting better with every season.

The Simpsons: A classic, I've loved it for over ten years. No explanation really needed.

Veronica Mars: I think that the fact this show was cancelled is the greatest travesty to occur on television in a long time. This show had razor-sharp dialogue, an amazing cast playing even more amazing characters, and mysteries that really had you chomping at the bit for every new episode. I can't praise this show highly enough. In the words of Kevin Smith, it's "proof the TV can be better than cinema. Some of the best TV ever produced." I'm getting this show on DVD the second I can.

/end lovefest.

Re: Official Favorite TV Show Thread

When did this thread start existing?

MADE - This is the best reality showc on Earth because it gives you all kinds of emotoins. Laughter, when the fatties don't lose weight and cry (yeah, I'm a *****), anger when crap happens to the ones you like and a whole pile of other stuff that I can't remember. A lot of the time it is such an inspiring show too, like the La Crosse (sp>) player learning ice skating, thew goth becoming prom queen (if I continue talking about that episode slap me) or the 2nd best episode of MADE, Genevieve becoming a rapper. It gives people that are just about t lose hope that something to believe in, and sometimes the fatties roll down hills!

Desperate Housewives - Best show in Earth this is; so good in fact that I spent £44,99 on a boxset just so I could catch up in time for Season 3. Desperate Housewives can be incredibly funny but also makes you care so much about the characters. Plus, it has some fantastic writersthat make the best plots in television.

I have others, but they aren't special enough for paragraphs:

House
Charmed
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Friends
Scrubs
South Park
Drawn Together
Futurama

Smith appeared in five seperate episodes of Degrassi: The Next Generation. Three episodes in season 4 (S04E20 "West End Girls: and S04E21 and 22, "Goin Down The Road Parts 1 & 2") and two in season 5 (S05E11 and 12, "The Lexicon of Love Parts 1 & 2"). There were some really funny moments, but he wasn't quite playing himself, more of a fictionalized version of himself.

Go the Chasers war on everything! I cannot stop laughing at when they remade the Medibank Private ad, and how Andrew Hansen dances as the dead guy haw haw. I have to say though it was pretty gross how Chas's gizzards are everywhere.
