Re: Getting into web design and related stuff
Judging by how fast it is coming out, I suspect Windows 7 will be Vista's cure just as SP2 cleaned up XP. This time, I guess Microsoft just chose to make it a distinct release since "Vista" had such a brutal reputation.
If Vista comes with your computer, life goes on. If someone explicitly pays for Vista, I feel very sorry for him/her. |

I have firsthand experience too. The only two problems I've had is Premiere crashing because it's a ****ty program, and not being able to drag files into a command prompt (which makes it hard to use mp3splt).

Re: Getting into web design and related stuff
Regardless, my biggest push for Mac or GNU/Linux web development is the fact they have workspaces. I cannot live without those (and of course, dual monitors). Windows has a few programs that emulate that behavior, but they seem to crash on certain computers (the ones I've used, anyway).

Re: Getting into web design and related stuff
I've tried two systems. The one from Microsoft only partially mimics the Unix spaces system. The desktop wipes away, but the task bar is still cluttered with all open programs.
http://codeplex.com/vdm This one better emulates the Unix style, but it crashed on me. T_T |
