Computer doesn't wanna download
I'm not much of a computer person, but I use it every day.
The problem, is that when I try to install adobe shockwave (there is supposed to be a picture that should say that the download was a success) and all I see is a blank box with a red "x". Is something wrong with my computer?

Re: Computer doesn't wanna download
yes. what you need to do is wipe the HDD, or else you will never be able to install shock way, I recently worked on a computer that was having the same problem, but with flash player, so yeah, back up your important things and wipe it clean!

No.
You should try clearing your cookies and your cache. Also, what browser are you using?

Re: Computer doesn't wanna download
Wipe the hard drive? Because Flash won't install? Someone's being a little drastic.
Download the Flash Player Uninstaller from Adobe here, close all your browsers, and then run the program. You might want to restart your computer afterward just to be safe. You'll also want to make sure your browser's installation hasn't been altered or corrupted in some way, and that you don't have any temporary files lying around. To do this, open up Internet Explorer (7 or 8) and navigate to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset Internet Explorer Settings, and click Reset. Once that's done, open Internet Explorer again, go back to Internet Options, and on the General tab, under Browsing History, click Delete and tell it to erase everything (all your saved passwords, login sessions, etc. will be deleted, so be sure you know that information). If you can't install Adobe Flash after all that, well... I'm not too sure what the problem would be. |

I just say use the company's help guide, FAQ, or whatever and see if your browser can even support the latest Flash.
