making a web site? you need to learn the fine language of HTML.

I could help and I have my own site, Its not very good since its my first one and I didn't know much. http://ringsofpower.sitepages.org And there is nothing wrong with free forums. Its a good place to get started before you get your ads running. I recommend you to use phpBB3 has a lot of styles and easy to install. And I wouldn't mind helping, on the forum part.

Well if you're making a site anyways *HACKS* You need to learn HTML, CSS, Maybe sommmmme PHP although not required, and have at least Photoshop or a good graphics program (Fireworks can do good too). ;D

Sorry, people, but HTML is gettin pretty darn old. If you want to make a website, there are plenty of programs built to make them with minimum hassle. And you can always read the codes of other websites to get ideas (if you understand coding, of course). And before you really get into CSS or something, there's always DHTML and JavaScript. Unless you're doing serious applets or something, you won't need anything other than the HTML anyways. In fact, you can use Microsoft Word and even Powerpoint to make stuff for the web. There are always free graphics out there, too, if you need pictures and can't make them. Photoshop is nice for that stuff, though.

I agree, and the only program I can see being any use are Dreamweaver (for beginners), and Notepad, just for saving the code. The day that HTML gets old, is the day we have the ability to control computers with our minds, which won't be within our lifetime.
