I need a simple "install program maker"

You know those install wizards that can automaticly make folders on your computer, put files in them, and start a certain program? I need a program that can MAKE one of those wizards. I have no coding experience, if there is one of those, keep it simple.

WinZip can make self-extractors. That's your best bet.

No, no... that won't do, I'm afraid. I've looked everywhere, can't find anything.

Very complicated. It has over 10 sections telling you how to learn a custom script.

All installers are like that. Why do you even need one?

Er, why do you need an installer, and why can't you use a WinZip self-extracting file?

Because not everyone has WinZip.

Even so, I need to be able to write licences and explanations in the installer, and choose the directory that the files are installed in MYSELF.

Meaning, not let the user place the files? That's not gonna fly.

If you don't want to learn how to program, the WinZip self-extracting exe is about your only option.

No... it's just that the program that is going to be installed reqiures the files be in a specific area.

And, it's not that I'm ignorant, it's that I'm NOT learning a scripting code I'm never going to use again. Graphicartist's contribute is working great, though.

WinRAR makes self extracting .exe's and you can put your own license I think.

Another question... if you have no coding experience, what is it you are wanting to make the install for? Generally installers are made for programs or drivers which you would have had to code...

Not true. I used the install creator to make an installer for a texture pack for a N64 game, the texture pack, of which was made by ME.

Goddamn spambots bumping old topic.
