Re: Mouse/Keyboard/Headset
MX518 or death adder
keyboard doesn't matter a ton. headset - Newegg.com - Turtle Beach TBS-2112 Circumaural Earforce HPA2 5.1 Surround Sound Headset good cans, OK mic. pretty good suround sound. only negative is that build quality is a bit on the lowend, but you won't really get any better if you're looking for surround sound + decent bass within a headset.

Re: Mouse/Keyboard/Headset
most people will not see a tangible difference between a $20 entry level keyboard and a $100 highend keyboard. perhaps if you like macro keys but I have more or less no need for them. most keyboards are pretty dang responsive as it is.

Re: Mouse/Keyboard/Headset
Keyboard really doesn't matter. I use a £6 keyboard, and can frag as well as any other person.
For a mouse, anything Razer or Logitech. In particular, I'd recommend a MX510/MX518 or a Diamondback. Headset wise, grab whatever is in your budget. I laid down £70 for a pair of decent headphones, Sennheiser HD-280PRO, and I use a Sennheiser PC-120 headset for a mic wrapped around my neck.

Re: Mouse/Keyboard/Headset
Well all of you that says that the keyboard doesn´t matter, You.Are.Wrong. If your really in to the game (if your a pro) then the keyboard matters. I highly recommend Keyboard -Logitech G15. Kinda expensive, but it´s worth it if your a pro gamer. If your a noob, then it doesn not matter.

What planet are you on. Seriously. My brother plays CS:S competitively. He runs a Microsoft Classic 500 keyboard. I used to play fairly hardcore, and I've been rocking the same Logitech Pro Keyboard for the past 5 years. I've seen videos of gamers like HeatoN, team NiP, team NoA, guys like Shaguar, XeQtR, elemeNt, method and so on, and damn, I saw all of them had different setups, all using pretty much standard keyboards like Microsoft curve keyboards, Logitech Internet Pro keyboards, all of them pretty much bog standard. Not once did I see blue-leds or gigantic footprints, as all that adds is overall weight and playing space (there's not a lot at LANs, and having your keyboard dominate the whole desk area is not a good idea), and if you think for one second that it improves your performance, then seriously, punch yourself in the face because you are just a corporate ******* who is taking in all the crap they are feeding you. Sure, they may look nice, but the G15 2nd revision is butt ugly. And for one, I'd rather not look like an asshole with blue LED's coming out of everywhere on my desk. Sure, my tower, or maybe mouse, but not my f'n keyboard. This is not a light show.

![]() And I don't even have a fancy mouse, just a mini-mouse by this brand called Mi. And I don't use a headset, but I am looking to purchase one. But lately I have been looking around and the Razer mouses are awesome looking, as well as Logitech ones. I've heard good things about both. The two I'm looking at, trying to decide between are: Razer Mouse Logitech Mouse Both look nice and have good reviews.

Re: Mouse/Keyboard/Headset
I got a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo. It was a total piece of ****. The mouse was fine but the keyboard had horrible range and randomly stopped working for a couple seconds every few minuets. It also would also take forever to wake up after going into screen saver. I forget who made my one mouse, it was the only 6 button one I could find, I'm not fond of its size but it got the job done. But I haven't been pc gaming in a while so now I'm using a Dynex wireless mouse and its the best one I've ever used. I have had like 4 headsets throughout the years, the ear pieces keep falling off or in one case my cat chewed on them. Invest in a good pair and maybe you wont have to keep buying them like me.

Re: Mouse/Keyboard/Headset
wireless = fail... atleast as far as primary peripherals are concerned. it might not be too bad to have some wireless stuff as secondary input devices if say you want to rest on your bed while doing something, but swapping batteries is a PITA and the additional cost and increased input latency are a bit of a turn off.
