Razor phone drivers and cell phone flashing.

Has anyone ever flashed a cell phone before? I wanted to do this because the OS on my razor is total crap. But I can't get my computer to recognize it as the phone and not a storage device. I have tried 20 zillion drivers and nothing. Has anyone successfully installed drivers for the razor cell phone?

She also has a Razor, so....Yeah. It must be a good thing to do.

Well the OS changes based on your carrier and I'm stuck with crappy t-mobile until November and the OS on the razor with t-mobile is crap.

T-Mobile is a GSM carrier, most GSM firmwares on the razr are the same.

The only reason one would flash is if they have Verizon on a razr (like me). The verison stock firmware is ****, so people flash to vivo or alltel, or even telus for java. But those are CDMA carriers so that's another story.

Shoot me a PM if you need some help, but really, this website is focused more on the Verizon Razr, just because it's the only razr worth hacking.

It will have the drivers, however, and programs used to access the file system. You can load your own wallpapers/ringtones on it, and transfer pictures/videos you took on the phone. And it's legal.

I don't have time right now to check it out either today or tomorrow, I'll prob end up having to PM you. I have plenty of reasons to wanna flash it, trust me the firmware for t-mobile is **** also;

It takes forever to view pictures because they are in a list! Scroll up and down ****ing list! So once you have a good amount of pictures to show someone one that is in the middle of the list takes forever to bring up!

If you set a ring tone for someone (everyone who calls me has their own that I made and put on the phone) that same song also plays when they text you! You can't tell a text from a call!!!!

The final thing (that I can think of now that is) that I hate is when you use a blutooth, all the custom things you did go away. It goes back to the stander phone ring sound and it dosen't even play it out your ear, the ****ing phone still rings!!!

These pissed me off so bad I emailed them and they basically said "Yep thats how it works" well their actual words were "These features are not supported on this phone."

I am stuck with god awful T-mobile until November and then I'm getting Verizon. I know the phone I want but I wanna play with the firmware before I buy it.
