FireFox deleting Browsing History and Bookmarks O.o
I woke up this morning to find all my bookmarks and browsing history gone. I didn't even have all the buttons and toolbars I put up there. Now, this may be because I recently downloaded the new update for FireFox, but what I wanna know is... why? Why the **** did it do this? This has happened about three times already, and I am about ready to go back to IE.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I still had all my cookies and saved passwords from before.

Re: FireFox deleting Browsing History and Bookmarks O.o
Firefox on my old laptop used to do that all the time. I reinstalled it though, and it fixed itself.
Did you try a reinstall?

Re: FireFox deleting Browsing History and Bookmarks O.o
Usually this is the problem. If your profile isn't listed, you may still be able to recover your bookmarks. Enter the following in the address bar in explorer: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles You should see one or more folders with random names. Each one is a profile. Firefox stores bookmarks in these folders as the following: bookmarks.html - The current bookmarks bookmarks.bak - Backup from last change to guard against system errors \bookmarkbackups\ - Daily backups spanning five days |
