VBA for Macs

Ok, so my school computer in class is an eMac and I downloaded VBA. I also got Pokemon Emerald for it. I have played two versions of the game and each time I use a Pokeball, it closes on me, so I figure it's a VBA problem. Can anyone help?

Edit: Hrm, I downloaded another version and I think it fixed it.
