Eh, I'd advise against going iPod (unless, maybe, you really like the features of the touch).

Why? It's more expensive for fewer features. Not exactly a winning combination.

I agree, ipods arn't all they are cracked up to be. my friend just bought a bootlegged ipod, it looks like the new ipod nano, except this one has a built in speaker, it's 4gb, and it only cost him $100 compared to the $150 ipod. and in fact, this bootlegged one is better! it still has the click wheel, plays video/photos, AND it has a little speaker too! so ipods not that great, very cliche and boring if you ask me.

I have a 2gb sansa mp3 player. nothing fancy, does what it's supposed to, play music. I also have 1gb of space on my R4 (a slot 1 device for DS that allows me to listen to music on my DS) so between the two I have 3gb of space, which is enough for me. I'm not a HUGE audiophile.

check this out, a 4gb ipod ripoff for only $35 dollars including shipping! now that's a deal. sure it's not REALLY an ipod, but it looks like one, it plays music, and it's 4gb, so why the hell not for $35 dollars? oh, that's right, you want it to have an apple on it, oh, well in that case go pay $115 more for that little apple logo! dumb****s.

I have a (RED) iPod Nano 2G. I don't listen to it much.

I have a black iPod Nano (1st Gen), that I mostly listen to vidoe game music on (because I'm like that). Although, I do wake up to it because I have an iHome.

I have a 30 gig iPod video. Nothing special.

For the longest time, I have had my good old 1st Generation, 4GB, black iPod Nano. Very nice, looks like **** now but still plays my music very nice.

But, I was in the market for a new music player, but I also wanted some of the other multimedia features (i.e: video, pics, etc.). But then there was the idea of price. So I was looking at iPods and the Zune and was close to buying a Zune, but decided for a PSP instead. It suits all my multimedia needs now, despite it's size. But that only makes it the better for watching movies on.

PSP works for me.

I have a first generation white iPod nano, 4gb. I've had it for about 2 years, and the battery's starting to run sort of low. Rather than getting it replaced, when I need a new battery, I'll probably buy an iPod video or one of the new nanos.

Firstly, I am appauled by the chatspeak in the thread title.

Secondly, I pretty much only listen to the radio or music on my computer, but it'd be damn handy if I had an mp3 player to play stuff while I'm away from them both.
