Do you think the iphone is worth buying?

Nah... i'd w8 a bit longer if it were me... Think about it... you still have to pay 4 your minute plan *talks for 10 hours straight, on the phone* yeah... it's an example but if your phone plan's not good.... It'll Kill YA! (so be wary ^_^)

no, the service for it is $60 a month, so unless your job is paying you a good amount, or your parents are rich as hell, don't get.

Just get a different phone and then get an Itouch they are really good my brother has one and uses it a lot.

Getting a cheap phone with a good contract, £15 a month. Then get and iPod Nano 2nd Gen 8GB, £120. These two are equivalent to the iPhone. You end up spending £100's when you get an iPhone contract.

I'll stick with my N95 8GB. The camera is only 2MP which I think is poor for a next gen phone.

It depends on what plan the company forces you to go with. If it's a horrid plan, don't bother. If it's something that sounds good and reasonable, gopher it.

for most people it is not, for some it is.

there are a lot of phones out there and chances are one would better suite you at the given price point/plan requirements

then again it might be perfect for you, though that depends

I have an Iphone which I got from a friend of mine who works for Apple (but doesn't buy any of thier products or support them odd I know). Since I'm just paying for service i'd say it's not that bad a phone at all.

it's because apple treats most of their employees like crap and does the same to it's 3rd parties. The reason why Apple went with AT&T was because Verizon told apple to go screw themselves, at least according to my father who worked at verizon/GTE for thirty years.
also much of apple's product lags behind the competition as far as price/performance/quality goes. I'm not saying their products are bad I'm just saying that usually at a given price point a user who is very technical and savvy can often do better. Hence why most IT folk opt for other forms of *nix.
