Anti-virus advice

I need a new anti-virus program, but I have no money. Can anyone suggest a free anti-virus program that is at least decent?

AVG free is quite a good option. Regular updates and it's free. However... If you get one on torrent you will probably find a full program complete with key for unlimited use.

If you take the later option i would suggest nod32. By far the most advanced program. Not as user friendly though.

How large is AVG, in regards to filesize? Because I only need something to cover for me until I move out, and if I can torrent something smaller/quicker, I'll do that.

AVG is around 30MB. If you into illegal stuff, search a torrent site for Kaspersky or NOD32, I believe those are slightly smaller. Also a lot better protection.

The home version of Avast! Antivirus is totally free, and it's great. Plus, you can make it pirate-themed! (The normal skin is just a sleek silver one, but you can find pirate skins for it...)

I agree with AVG free. I've found form experience that the best AntiVirus that you can get is McAfee, but that costs money. The best one for a person with a budget of $0.00 would be AVG free.
