Well I'm sure almost everyone at this forum uses a computer which can go into Standby Mode otherwise known as Hibernate mode. A few days ago the alternate computer in my house was set to standby mode, believing there was something wrong with it, it was turned off (unplugged) while in Standby mode. Now every time we turn it on, the hard drive and monitor wont turn on, the mouse and keyboard are USB, and nobody is sure how to fix it, maybe someone here knows the answer?
sounds like you have a bad case of ESD(electro-static discharge). Basically you don't fix it, you strip it for parts and move on.
so basically you friend 1 or more things. FYI while it's not advisable to abruptly unplug your system a majority of the time it's not THAT BAD.
also try just leaving it alone for a while, sometimes things have a magical way of fixing themselves. I've heard stories of people who thought they'de fried motherboards and they came back stronger than ever.
